How long does lotion protect from sun?

My experience has been that it protects from sun for about 6-8 hours. We apply sunscreen every couple of hours if we are doing strenuous activity outside to where we are perspiring profusely. Other than that-it lasts all day.

how long is the typical expiration date?

2 years I bought in April 2023 and it has a date of 10/2025 You probably use it all before it expires.
