Very good fruitcake
Sooo good! This is a nice size and would be great for gift giving as it is moist and keeps well in the freezer.

Best fruitcake on the market
I'd buy it more often but I have to watch what I eat owing to health. A piece or two of this fruit cake a couple times a week keeps me happy. And, as fruit cake keeps almost forever this is a snack that does not go to waste. This 3 pack is great tasting bargain.

We look for these fruit cakes every year and some years we cannot find them in the local stores. Always the same taste we expect. Never disappointed.

A Good Fruit Cake--But Not My Favorite
I had not previously had a Claxton Fruit Cake (that I remember), so I purchased this "Three 1-Pound Loaves" cake this previous holiday season. I definitely like fruit cake during the holidays--sometimes with a glass of wine. I was not disappointed in the Claxton cake. It arrived in good condition and seemed fresh and moist. The three separately wrapped loaves made it simple to store over a period of time, since I'm the only one in the family that usually eats it. I even popped one in the freezer, and retrieved it some months later--it was just fine. Truth be told, this Claxton cake is not my favorite fruit cake, but I think it is quite good. I would not hesitate to purchase again, especially if I cannot locate my cake of preference--which has happened before. It is less expensive that some other cakes, so the value for the money is very good. I would give it an overall 4 stars.

Almost as good as grandma's
I think fruitcake must be totally subjective depending on one's upbringing. But for me, this was as close as one can get to my grandma's recipe without her still being here. For me it was missing brazil nuts and dates. But that is just our family recipe, right? Otherwise, it was delicious. Rich. Heavy. Dense. Laden with candied fruit. A little slice goes a long way. It is really nostalgic.
