First, yes, other reviewers are correct that: i.) claims of water/mold-proof relate to the box itself. They are NOT "sealable," and so there's no way to extend that claim to comics. Still, traditional cardboard boxes aren't sealed either, so there's no loss here. ii.) it would be lovely if the company would put some sort of tag holder/etc. to help with organization. Not too hard to add on your own, but convenience is always nice THAT SAID, neither of these factors should discourage you from purchasing them. They look SO much better than traditional boxes and while perhaps not QUITE as sturdy as some of the double-walled cardboard boxes are certainly sturdy enough (far, FAR sturdier than some of the other "magazine holder" things I've tried in the past). Especially if you share a home with someone who *doesn't* appreciate your collection as much as you do, stacks of these seem to be much better appreciated. :) While I want to emphasize that I *DO* recommend these (will never buy cardboard again as long as these are available), a few other semi-negatives to consider: 1. They are *just* tall enough to fit bagged &borded moderns. Slabbed comics or stick-up dividers won't fit with the lid closed. 2. Although they stack (I feel comfortable going 3 high), they suffer from the same problem as "lidded" boxes--you can't get in them if there's another on top. The ONE really great thing about cardboard is if you invest the additional money in "sleeves" that allow you to pull entire drawers in and out. You could probably create a make-shift version of that here as well with some extremely basic carpentry or a slightly altered Ikea-style shelving unit (and probably end up at the same price point as with cardboard), but it's a factor to consider if you're stacking. If you don't mind that extra work, or if your collection is small enough that you're not stacking 20 boxes, these truly are a wonderful option, giving you a perfectly workable item that's EXTREMELY easy to set up, that looks attractive enough to blend with home decor, and that is at a price that's a sliver less than even most good deals on the traditional cardboard standard. Considering all that, it's very easy to overlook its few imperfections.

Just what I needed. As a huge theater fan and frequent theater-goer, I have a lot of playbills and programs. While I do keep them in a binder, I needed a place to store my excess playbills. Before I kept them in plastic bins that were just the right size, but I wanted something that could hold more. This storage box is great. At present it is holding 202 playbills and thats pushing it a bit by about 10-20. Because the sides are not straight. However because of the dimensions of playbills there's space on the side to put those odd sized programs. The velcro is strong. I lifted it up by the top and it didn't even give way and open. I also like the litte pocket for a label. Putting it together was a non factor. It just opens up and is ready to go, so that was great too. Definitely gonna need another one of these. My only feature I wish it had were dividers. Both for organization, but also in case the box isn't full and it could help keep the playbills upright. But I am generally very happy with this purchase.

I am more pleased with these than I expected to be. As I was in a hurry, I hastily set into the storage bin all the comics I planned to keep from my former collection. I did not bother take the comics out of the bubble wrap sacks I had been using to keep each series together in one mass. Nonetheless, I definitely have close to the 150 count of comic books and graphic novels secure in one box, with no signs of bulge or strain. I don't know that I would stack a second full bin atop the first, but I do feel that I could put a zippered bag of winter bed linens atop it without worry that the comics storage will warp or bust. Meanwhile, I am no longer using cardboard that might as well be marketed as a "gnat magnet". If I pop a few stickers on the outside of this to remind me of its contents' subject matter, I will have a solution that works for me in both the short _ and _ the long terms.

Got these a few days ago. Up to this point I've been holding my collection in random cardboard boxes and cheap plastic storage bins. I wanted a better system and started investing in these. So far they have met and exceeded my expectations. The boxes seem legit with on average how many leaves comics they comfortably can hold (+140). They safely stack, but I am nervous about having stacks of more than two. I believe three's possible, but I that's a lot of weight. Speaking of weight, do not put your faith in the handles. They havent broken or torn on me, but they are stiched to the fabric. The outside fabric does feel cheap, but looks way better than my original set up. The boxes do not seal like I wanted, but they close right and it's not terrible. I plan to buy more. For what my needs are these are perfect.

Good material, nice and sturdy. The color was nice the dark gray and definitely was able to be stackable.

The box was easy to assemble. Directions for the cover hinges were a little difficult. Sturdy material.

Pros: look much better than cardboard boxes, slightly longer than cardboard boxes. Cons: not as strong as cardboard boxes and not ideal for stacking... that smell!!! (yes, it's real and yes, they need to be aired out for a while) Overall, I'd recommend them for anyone with their boxes out in plain view and using shelves.

This storage box is excellent for storing comic books and graphic novels (including doujinshi, if you are collecting them). Leave some space inside the box for charcoal bags and silica gel bags so as to improve humidity and moisture resistance. Also, there is just a small problem - in one particular purchase, the smell of burned paper (possibly a byproduct of its creation) was very, very strong. I will request that the QC in the manufacturing company improve its processes.

It's really good quality and fits my collection in width and height without worry. Will be buying more.
