Great balance between price, weight, torque and overall build quality.
I'm speaking as a daily professional user. Probably owned at least 8 different air ratchets varying in price from 20 to 350 bucks. I've owned super cheapos to reactionless, impact ratchets and the snap-on big dog. I've always great experiences with Ingersoll air tools I've owned. I bought a no name lime green cheapie that worked once and locked up the next time I tried using it. Luckily I was able to return it. I need a reliable quality tool and bought this ratchet as my primary. After reading reviews I decided to add my own. I bought it for daily professional use. It works perfectly. I was surprised to see complaints about loudness because the cheapie was way louder than this one. The Noise level is actually quieter than I expected and I like to be able to rotate the mid mounted exhaust defuser so it blows away from my face or doesn't blow on dusty parts like brake calipers. Saved a few bucks by getting an open box unit. Here is my take on this IR ratchet. 1. Actually looks nice, if that matters to you. I like the tapered handle. 2. Noise level in my experience is below average for a pro air ratchet. 3. Torque and power are what I expect as a pro user. 4. Price vs quality is 5 out of 5. 5. Great balance between price, weight, torque and overall build quality.

Works like it should
After reading other reviews, I feel like I should reiterate that this is an "air ratchet". Meaning that it is not designed to apply large amounts of torque, but rather to speed up the tightening/loosening of nuts and bolts, that's it. Think of it as an automatic ratchet, where you don't have to move your hand/arm back and forth to perform the task. It is built solidly, activates easily (make sure you have a good grip on the tool before depressing the trigger-lever!), and helps shave off time from my weekend automotive maintenance projects. It is larger than a standard ratchet however, so you will not be able to use it in place of a regular ratchet, just in those instances where you have the room for it, especially on long bolts or nuts on long threaded studs where you can't make full rotations with a standard ratchet. The only downside is the same thing as with all air tools (except those that specifically are designed to be quiet, perhaps) and that is that it is loud. It may be a good thing that you can't use it on every nut and bolt. Great tool for the chest and glad I got it.

Loud for todays standard
Good IR ratchet. For some reason way louder than my old IR. It’s a screamer compared to all my other ratchets. I feel like most air ratchet are around 80dBA this one has got to be in the 90s. Pretty average on weight when I comes to metal cased ratchets. Most of the weight is in the head, but reliable and runs like a champ. It also pretty air hungry. With the amount of air consumed I feel like it should have more torque and speed, but really good for this price range. Not a fan that it is made in China, but a lot of IR air tools are made there now.

ASE master certified Tech. love this
im an ase master certified tech with 20+ years field experience. The one i just purchased is my 3rd one. They work great and the price is a great value. WAY cheaper than the tool truck. I abuse the heck out of it. Drops, laying on ground in water etc. I really dont take care of it, oil it every once and a while if i think about it. I have gotten about 5-7 years out of these. Could prob do better if you actually take care of it. The first one i had the gears in the body broke from me trying to loosen something that i should have used another tool for and the 2nd one the head just wore out. It still worked but there was too much play in the thing that rotates and the part that turns the gear in the head. just wear and tear. It's a little loud. what i would consider to be average, but still quieter than the noisy snap on ones my coworkers use. When this one breaks ill buy another one.

Great for the price!!
This thing is great! Im just a DIY mechanic, but sometimes it feels like im running a shop with all of my friends cars coming in and out of my garage. This air ratchet is one of the best tool purchases I've made in a long time. Plenty of power- breaks loose pretty much anything you will come across on a regular basis-- if this wont do it, you better just grab the breaker bar, or the impact gun... Low air consumption- i have a 3 gallon, portable, 200psi, 5 cfm, contractor style air compressor, and it keeps up with this thing just fine, even with continuous use. direction selector- im pretty picky about my regular ratchets, specifically the direction selector, and i couldnt be happier with this one, you can visually tell which direction it is set to. also, it is pretty much impossible to switch it accidentally. no safety stop- as odd as it may sound, not having any kind of safety stop on the trigger is nice, makes it easier to operate this tool. i also own the matching 1/4" drive version, and could write the same review for it, only adding that the head is smaller and therefore fits in tighter spaces.

Well made
I had no kickback when I used it for something not authorized by IR. It worked with a large 3 inch hole saw on plastic ABS plumbing to remove a fitting. Excellent results in a tight space. Easier than a hole hawg right angle drill. It is not like a powerful impact wrench. I don't know how it would work on rusty nuts and bolts.

da usare solo con cuffie!
Spaventosamente rumorosa e poi non raggiunte la coppia dichiarata. Per il resto bene (indeciso se restituire)
