An absolute bargain
This is an excellent PC for 129 quid, a real bargain. Just recently I was asked by a family member to have a look at an ancient desktop PC, see if I could get it working, which I did, after a lot of time and effort, and a sizeable expenduiture on new SSD, new RAM, new WiFi dongle and external DVD drive. What a wally. What I should have done is junk the old desktop and spend 130 quid on this Dell Optiplex. The Dell arrived today, nice and clean and tidy, with a decent spec, and it works just fine. Fast boot up into Windows 10, not overloaded with junk software, and it runs extremely quietly.I'm going to use it for general internet browsing, all my home letters and documents, a bit of messing about with photgraphs, and of course the only game I play, which is good old Civ 2.I'm very happy with it, for 130 quid its an absolute steal.

Good Value
I was a bit apprehensive after buying this but after it promptly arrived five days later (Outer Hebrides) and it was up and running I was blown away as to how fast the machine is with SSD and i7 processor. The moment it arrived and the straightforward set-up was complete it could only have been around 30 minutes. Apart from a couple of small almost unnoticeable scratches the case could easily pass as new and is completely dust free, came supplied with Wi-Fi dongle which easily meets my requirements without any download issues.Desktop was manufactured in December 2014 and went out of service in December 2017 and has likely done a fair few hours work already, so time will tell as to its long term reliability. It is used for home office and student music production with 2 HD1080P monitors with display port to HDMI adaptors, 2 studio monitors/speakers, wired keyboard/mouse, midi keyboard, condenser microphone with audio interface, all running without conflict. It does not come with a separate graphics card but streams high quality videos without issue.

Good item and after sale support
Being caught short by a fatal event on my previous computer, I needed a quick, usable and inexpensive computer device to keep up with correspondence etc. I didn't need it for gaming. I found this Dell Optiflex being sold through Amazon and like the specs so bought it at a very reasonable price, especially given that I just needed the tower. The cpu arrived very quickly, the next day and I set about setting it all up. It looked in very good condition, with just a few small scratches. At first I was a little apprehensive as the Windows Pro programme did not want to activate. I sent an e-mail to Veno-scorp.co.uk who provided me with an entry key and away we went. Excellent all round.Thank you, all up and away now.

You will need to buy a VGA to HDMI adaptor - but still a great deal
I haven't yet had a chance to turn it on, as there is only a VGA connection at the back of the PC - no HDMI. So, I thought it should be useful for others to know that they will need to buy a VGA to HDMI adaptor to convert the analogue signal to digital. It has now been a few months, and it works perfectly with no problems - the fact that it still has a warranty is even further reassuring. Al in all, it is a highly recommended cheap computer.

When to avoid buying an 9 year old PC
Ruined by poor service - Avoid this company. Don’t think you are buying from Amazon - this is a low quality refurb company being protected by Amazin.I was a bit sceptical when ordering this - after all its an old office PC circa 2014 - but it was cheap - especially with the SSD and an old, but fairly quick i7.After 3 weeks the motherboard died - I guess it was just its time after almost 9 years of service. The actual unit that arrived looked good on the outside, with very little evidence of use to be fair - the inside was a bit of a different story, dusty /dirty fans/PSU/ram/Cpu fan and motherboard. Not what was promised. The purpose for the PC was to be able to run a set of undemanding web services separately from the main workstation - the general speed and performance was perfect until the motherboard went to cyber heaven.Given the way its marketed asking for a refund should have been easy - however the seller is slow to respond and tried to force a replacement on me when I clearly didn't want that - I needed something reliable.I buy a lot of things from Amazon, I do so because I have confidence that if its not right I can get it refunded a couple of days after I return it - not so with this, it took 2 weeks to get the refund and I am still waiting for the return delivery to be paid that they had agreed to - that was two weeks ago and now they do not answer messages. UPDATE - weeks later no refund on return delivery and no help from Amazon. My advice - buy a small modern mini PC instead, these PC's look cheap but they are at the end of their life and are not worth the trouble - if I had received a really quick response from the seller then maybe this would have been worth it - but its not. don't waste your time. This seller cannot be trusted - weeks after returning the PC at a cost of £10 they have not refunded that even though it was agreed beforehand.

Better than I expected
I needed a new short term PC as my one packed up and came across this one. It got delivered next day. I was impressed with the condition it came in. Apart from some very minor scratches, it's like new. The hardware matches what was advertised aside from the CPU, I received a 4790 not a 4770 so I got a slightly better one.It comes with a power cable, WiFi dongle and a DP to HDMI converter as there aren't any native HDMI ports. I've been using it for 3 days now and it's been working fine with no issues. Considering the price and my situation this has/will fulfil my short term needs.Highly recommended if you're in the same boat.
