We put this on our wood burner and it spins fast but there is very little air flow. Any suggestions before I return the product?

Believe me, there is air flow. I would suggest experimenting with some incense. Watch how the smoke gets circulated.

Could this be used at 350F-425F on average inside a conventional oven to make it a semi-convection oven?

No, it wouldn't work. It requires a temperature differential between the base and the top of the fan in order to make the peltier do it's magic.

how do you get the fan to turn, my stove is hot?

the heat from the stove automatically makes the fan run. You might check if the fan blades turn freely prior to putting it on the stove. Ours works great.

Can this fan be installed in ductwork above a wood stove?

I strapped it to the duct right above the stove, with enough slack for the security clip to do its job. The duct gets hot enough to create power. It works great.
