I am comparing this Manuka honey with some less expensive honey I bought from Amazon. The Manuka is darker, thinner and less sweet than the cheap stuff. It cost twice the price for half as much honey. We couldn't taste it at all in a cup of green tea. Maybe it works on skin abrasions, but it is sticky and I wouldn't want to try it. I wouldn't buy it again. I tried it again, this time with coffee. It's a little sweeter. I'll keep trying and adjust my review accordingly. The taste is getting better, every time I try it. Maybe the good stuff is at the bottom of the jar. Or maybe, I'm getting accustomed to it.

This is the fìrst jar ive ordered that was gritty in the texture and doesnt have the usual manuka taste. Ive bought many jars of honey in my 66 years! Lately im addicted to manuka! This is probably just from getting some age on it or someone being frugal and harvesting as much as they could scrape off of the hive. Im no expert on it but i know this isnt the usual great steens quality and taste. The color was also very dark! Ill still be able to put it in coffee or on a peanut butter sammi! Just kind of dissapointed in this one jar,! Its like the dreggs from the hive! This one slipped past their usual good quality produçt. Im sure its not their usual standard operation. It could have gotten over heated or maybe it got aged . I dont know what happened but i know this one jar is sub par for Steens usual quality and smooth taste. Im sorry i cant leave a 5 star review for this order.

A must have for every household!!! This honey tastes delicious and helps with sore throat, upset stomach, small and large wounds. It’s gold in a jar!! Very high quality.

Love this honey and have always bought Steens since we were introduced to it when living in New Zealand. So glad we can get it online now that we live overseas. We use it for all the family and the kids especially love it because it’s got a slight grainy texture and tastes so good. It makes the best face mask and I haven’t had any acne since using it.

I have enjoyed Steens honey for many years and often had it sent to Australia from NZ. There are a lot of companies out there who say their honey is proper Manuka honey but it's not - Steens makes the real stuff and it's tasty. Highly recommend
