Not used it overnight but setup and it went around the under quilt perfect

A full length underquilt is 2 m on average, first onewind underquilt protector was only 2.17m it claims to be 2.6 m which wound be just fine, anyway after the complaint I was sent another the correct size, as the first one was an older version

Perfect for hammock camping or use it on its own

I used this in torrential rain for 3 days and it was fantastic.

I was hiking the AT in Shenandoah National Park when the remnants of Hurricane Ian came to visit with high winds and torrential rains. Then a winter like temperture drop. This underquilt protector saved the day. Absolutly guaranteed that my UQ would have been soaked without it. That would have been dangerours and potentially deadly in those conditions. Against the wind and rain, I raised the side walls up high. This provided several feet of overlapping coverage between the bottom of the tarp and the top of the sidewall. That provided ventilation while keeping the rain out. Meanwhile inside, my TQ and I were in a warm dry pocket protected from wind and rain. I bought this as a quick fix, a replacement of a Hammock Gear UQP which I had mislaid. Comparing the two, the basic function is the same, they both keep the wind and water out. Suspension is a little easier to figure out on the HG version and this model has longer bungee cords which can get in the way and are confusing. This model is, for the most part, as good as the HG version but at half the cost. I will not use a hammock without one in wet or cold weather. In warm weather, it can be moved aside if you want to be cooler but it also provides a layer of defense against insects biting you through the hammock. To address some issues in other reviews: 1- It is not insulation, like a down jacket. It protects insulation from the elements, like a rain jacket over your down jacket. 2 - It is thin and care should be taken against tears but that is true of all your gear. 3 - It needs to be hung outside your UQ so it is not crushing it, just as the UQ should be hung so it is not being crushed by the hammock. Adjust the head and foot accordingly. If in doubt, buy this product.

Meins ist leider nur 2m lang, hat kein rip stop Stoff und es fehlt die Schlaufe zum befestigen am Baumgurt. Es sind nur die Schlaufen zum einstellen der Breite vorhanden. Nachtrag: Habe nun die neue Version erhalten, sie hat die entsprechende Länge, rip stop Gewebe und alle Befestigungsschlaufen, wie auf dem Produktbild. Sie hielt mich im hammock mit einem 3 Jahreszeiten schlafsack warm bis es ca. 10 Grad mit starken Nebel wurde. Gefroren habe ich nicht, aber warm genug zum schlafen war es leider auch nicht mehr. Jedoch ist der Sommer vorbei und dieser underquilt, für kühle oder windige Sommer Nächte um die 15 Grad gedacht. Diese Aufgabe erfüllte es perfekt. Es passte perfekt unter mein cocoon ultralight Hammock. Außerdem gab es noch 2 kleine Karabiner gratis, mit den ich mir einen Schnellspanner für mein Tarp gebaut habe.

This hammock protector is ultra packable and has negligible weight. It is now an essential in my pack! Everyone needs this if they have a hammock. It adds multiple benefits and takes moment's to attach once pre adjusted. This blocks wind, acts as an air barior creating a air gap of slow moving air that acts as insulation , massive difference for sleep comfort I no longer wake up freezing at 4am from the wind causing convection and conductive heat loss that is a major break through! In humid conditions this blocks the unpleasant animal odors and decay that rise up from the wet earth that would normally really annoy me. It stops mosquitos from biting from underneath using a single layered hammock!!!! It also can easily be adjusted to increase hight of hammock sides giving significant wimd resistance maximising confort. If you want a huge difference in hammock sleeping comfort regardless of season or temperature you absolutely need this!!

Super simple à installer (moins de 2 minutes), il fait exactement ce qu’on lui demande : protéger l’underquilt de la boue, de la neige et des projections quand on pose le hamac dans des conditions vraiment crades. En bonus, ça coupe encore un peu plus les courants d’air par en dessous et ça crée une vraie barrière thermique supplémentaire. Et le meilleur : ça ne pèse presque rien dans le sac. Pour moi c’est devenu un accessoire obligatoire dès que les températures descendent sous 5 °C ou quand le sol est détrempé. À ce prix-là, aucun regret, je le recommande à tous ceux qui campent en hamac en hiver.
