So do 3 capsules contain 2g of threonate? I'm confused, because I've read to take that much but am not sure if 3 caps is only 144mg.

The 2000 mg amount refers to the total amount of Magtein (magnesium threonate) which is recommended on a daily basis. That dose is divided into 3 capsules. Magtein is NOT 100% magnesium. In fact, Magtein contains only about 7% magnesium. The rest of the molecule is threonate plus an attached water molecule (hydrate). Because of that, the 2,000 mg of Magtein only provides 2000 x 0.07 = 140 mg of elemental magnesium. On a per capsule basis that would be 140/3 = 46.6 mg of magnesium. Hope that helps to clarify.

does it have a gluten?

Unless you have a very specific and rare condition called celiac disease, you don't need to avoid gluten.

what is this product good for?

My physical therapist first recommended MagMind to help reduce the cramps in my legs during PT, but both my husband and I have found it invaluable for helping us to sleep more soundly. Also, after taking it for several months, we found ourselves thinking more clearly, so it seems to be good all-around! Strongly recommend it!

Why does the description only talk about Folate, an ingredient not even included in this product?

I don't know anything about folate in the formula. On the containers I have the only ingredient is Magnesium(elemental) (from2000 mg Magtein Magnesium L-theronate. I have found the MagMind helpful. Anna
