The Bench That Gave My Dad His Shower Back
When my father came home after hip surgery, the bathroom went from his favorite retreat to his biggest daily obstacle. Getting over the tub wall felt like scaling Everest in a hospital gown. Enter this bench, and suddenly Everest got a lot shorter. Setup was genuinely painless. No tools, clear instructions, and it snapped together in under ten minutes. The legs adjust in half-inch increments, which sounds minor until you realize that half an inch is exactly what stands between comfortable and awkward when someone is sliding across a tub edge. The sliding seat moves smoothly, and the nylon strap locks it in place once you are where you need to be. The textured plastic surface adds grip without being harsh, and the cut-out seat is a thoughtful design touch that takes care of something most products in this category just ignore. The backrest flips for either left or right-hand orientation, which matters more than you might expect depending on your bathroom layout. Durability has not been a concern. The aluminum frame feels solid and shows no signs of wear, rust, or wobble even after months of daily use. At 400 lbs capacity, it is built for real-world use, not just the average case. One thing to know before buying: measure your space carefully. At 39 inches wide, it needs room to work. It fits most standard tubs, but do not assume, check first. Also worth noting is that the lap belt, while useful, can be a little fiddly to adjust initially. For anyone managing mobility challenges, recovering from surgery, or caring for someone who needs bathing assistance, this bench is a practical, well-built solution at a fair price. It turns a genuinely stressful situation into something manageable, and that is worth every penny.

Good chair
I had to use this after breaking my ankle. It did the job well. I did find out that it slides much better if you put one foot in the tub before sliding, as this distributes your weight more evenly. It was sturdy, and having the cutout is an immense benefit!!

Its well made but might not be for you
This is a fairly nice product. It is strong, well made, and easily assembled. I actually did not end up using it however and I will explain. I thought it would be a good item which would combine two functions, to go over the toilet to make it easier when I was using that, and to also use it for its intended function, namely to make it easier to get into the tub. I have a standard 60" cast iron tub and I can only access it from the right non-drain side, and I was unable to get this device to sit in a way where it straddled the tub to the floor. The slope of the tub made it so that, even while adjusting the legs, I could not get it placed into a position where I felt safe to slide onto it. It might work if you enter from the other left hand side of the tub where the water controls are, but this was not possible option for me. So it did not work for me for its primary application of getting in/out of tub. I did find that it worked placing it over the toilet and using it as a seat. The plastic toilet seat has a hole in it which allows access to using it as a toilet seat. I did not use this for a raised toilet seat however because I just thought it was awkward. I should say, the first thing I did was remove the chair backing, as there was no application where I found that useful. I wish today I could return the product, as I am recovered now thirty days later and did not use the product at all. However I did not feel right about that, because I thought and do think it was well made and well thought out, and I had held onto it for that reason. But in the end it is just something that tried to do too many things, and if you need a chair, get a chair, if you need access to the tub, then this not so great for that, and if you need a raised toilet seat maybe get one.

Seat is great
This seat is great! I have a boot on one foot and multiple ankle fractures on the other foot, so I am able to sit on seat slide over into tub and keep the fractured ankle outside of tub. Seat has a removable center, so I can wash my bottom parts easier. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to shower and this seat is a great aid tool!

Good and bad
Good and bad. The bath bench works very well. It was easy to put together and easy to use. The only thing that is not good about it is it if you take the cut out away from the bench, it will never fit in there properly again. I’ve contacted the company twice and they have not even responded to me. I just wanted to know if there was something that I could do to keep the cut out to stay in the bench without falling out. . It has a tendency to fall out or pinch your leg regularly. They never responded to my emails.

Pay Close Attention To The 6th Picture
The 6th picture in the description shows exactly how this bench looks in our tub. Yet it was still hard to visualize. We have what is considered a standard tub, and we imagined that this bench would extend the seat completely outside the tub for seating. But pay attention. The picture shows that the seat is only partially outside the tub (and partially sitting over the tub wall). But maybe because of the solid seat in the original picture, we still saw an illusion of a seat outside the tub. And yes, in reality “most” of it is outside the tub – until you take out the center hole cover. We edited the picture to help you visualize that without the hole cover, there is only about a third of the seat left to sit down on outside the tub. Perhaps this is only a problem for small, frail seniors who use this bench. Larger persons may cover the entire seat. But smaller persons do not want to fall in the hole. So you must sit gingerly on the edge, slide in, and then scooch around to get situated in a comfortable position over the large hole. And that’s because, as you can see, the other third of the seat on the other side of the hole is over the tub wall, so that’s not accessible until after your feet are on the inside. So yes, you can overcome this challenge. It’s just not as easy as we thought a sit-on-the-outside-and-slide-in bench would be. We were trying to avoid the scooching around required on the traditional solid transfer bench. That being said, the issue boils down to the hole cover. Leave it in place and you have more real estate to sit on. But that again is a two-fold problem. It’s got to be taken out if you want to take advantage of its practical purpose. Even if that’s not important and you want a solid seat, the cover is simply set in the hole. It’s so loose that when you sit down, it tends to pop up, and that can pinch in places you’d rather not be pinched. It should have been designed to snap-in solid. So we ditched the hole cover and deal with the limited space to sit. The rest of the function of the bench is fine. As we said, we have a standard tub with slightly rounded walls, so the feet go in as far as the curve of the tub will allow. The adjustable legs are great. There are two rows of adjustment buttons, the second row off-center to the first row, so you have double the choices of holes to use to really narrow down the height adjustment. The destructions will tell you to make sure all four legs are even, but that’s impossible since the floor of the tub is higher than the floor of the bathroom. So you have to make two legs shorter so the sliding bars are level, and that’s when those off-center holes came in handy. The aide better prepare for a shower, too. Once the seat is slid into the tub, the seat itself is about as wide as the tub. And with bars crossing the tub wall, there’s no getting a shower curtain around this thing. We’ve had a few ideas, but we’re still problem-solving that issue. It’s just easier to help. And lay down a lot of towels. Water will splash. Water on the edge of the seat will run down the side of the tub, especially from the little safety latch. And yes, that’s all with a shower hose pointing at the person. We can’t imagine the mess if you were just sitting under a shower head. But the mess is just the trade-off to safety. For seniors (and others) sitting is safer than standing. The backrest is nice, but too far back for small people. The rubber feet are fine. The sliding function works well so far. Again, we’ve got a small person on it, but larger people tried it out and it worked for them, too. The safety latches are working as designed. They snap over the bar as you slide to each side, but to get a smidge more distance either direction, the latch is technically past the bar. That may not be considered “secure”, but we don’t find that the seat moves about unnecessarily anyway. If the latch does catch the bar, you just lift it to unlock and slide the opposite direction. It’s a simple plastic latch that able-bodied people may laugh at, but it’s worth noting that a frail person without much strength may have a hard time lifting that latch over the bar on the inside, so the aide may need to reach around them to undo it. The seatbelt is an interesting touch, but it’s overkill in our opinion. We understand, though, that it may be helpful for some people who cannot sit up on their own. Our user would like more handles to hold on to though. The main handle is on the inside of the tub and that can’t be reached until you’re slid in. On the outside, there’s nothing to hold on to while seating yourself (except the frame, and that’s awkward). Turning it around only creates the opposite problem – nothing to hang onto once you’re in the tub. Maybe there’s no outside handle because they thought it would get in the way of sitting? Overall, the idea of this bench is great. And it does work for the intended purpose. Showers are happening, and the mess can be cleaned up. It’s lightweight to move in and out of the tub as needed, and therefore, feels light duty and not necessarily heavy duty. We hope it holds up for a while. The primary issue we wanted to share when considering this bench is to pay attention to how far it really extends outside the tub, particularly without the hole cover. Consider the mobility of your person and how close they can stand to the edge of the tub to get as far on it as they can before they kick their feet over. We gave it a 4, because it works and we like it, but it’s not perfect.

Highly Recommend (but not so much for short person)
Excellent product. Is as described. Very sturdy. Slides easily even with 220 lb. person on it but does lock securely once in (or out) of tub. Unfortunately , bought for my elderly mother and her tub is an odd size INSIDE so couldn't fit it properly unless I used it in the middle of the tub which brought it too close to the toilet. Had to return. TOO BAD!! Really really like it. Would've have been perfect if we had a little more space. The only negative is that the adjustments don't allow you to adjust LOW enough for a short person like my mom (5'1") Her feet dangle above the floor so need to be careful til she is IN the tub area. Still a a bit higher than I'd like to see there, but manageable.

This looks like an excellent product - innovative design and well made
This looks like an excellent product - innovative design and well made, and easy to assemble. I would have rated it with five stars but we had to return it because the legs were not long enough, even when adjusted to the full height, to clear the edge of the bath. We raised this with the manufacturer but although they acknowledged our question about whether longer legs could be provided, they did not come back with any solution. With great regret we had to return it.

El producto en si esta bien, pero no trae los apoyabrazos que describen en el anuncio ni hay forma de conseguirlos. Solo llega lo que se ve en las fotos.

Nearly but not quite
Legs too short to fit my bath, shame as it would've saved me a lot of grief. Got a full refund so can't complain too much.
