Secret is really rinse well, the dry fry it in a pan. Once it’s dry, season as you please. It passes for rice!

I opened a package of Diet Cooker Shirataki rice for last night's supper. While the package contents are a bit undersized for 2 adults, I was happy with the texture, reduce odor compared to other brands, and ease of washing the rice before use. After a quick wash, I briefly dry-fried the rice and topped it with some of my daughter-in-law's wonderful Massaman Beef Curry. If you are looking for konjak/shirataki rice to keep your carbs low, this is a good one. The oat bran helps with the color and texture so it is less rubbery than some that I have used.

the flavor is disjusting, like fermented fish sauce, and very chemical. I wonder who can keep this in mouth and sallow it! Made me nausious and want to puke for entire day, I only had a small bit of it. I should read the review before I placed the order. Lesson learned!

So much better than regular Konjac noodle. Still not fooling anyone that it's rice but I can eat this with everything. Thank you dietCOOKER!!!

I've ordered this product for a few times, and had pleasant experience with it. I like the synthetic texture of rice and the size was like real rice. But with my latest order, the size of each grain is much larger than before, and it doesn't look like rice, but small peas. And when open the package, it has very strong fishy smell. The previous orders had similar smell too but very subtle. After washing the smell disappears. I know Konjac products usually have strong smell, but this batch is definitely stronger. Something has changed...

The rice has a very weird texture. The noodle is much better that it resembles really noodle a lot more than this rice resembles real rice

Let's be clear, the scent of any shirataki is offputting. I don't know why amazon specifically asked. This stuff is so versatile, I usually get the noodles but the rice is also great, I rinse it very well and cook it with whatever it's going to be eaten with, and that helps the flavor. If you are health conscious, you know that rice is a ton of empty calories, and this gets rid of those empty calories and keeps you feeling full.

whatever rice product like this I bought last time is no longer available so I had to spend about five minutes viewing comparing and deciding! I think this one came out at maybe $.37 an ounce? Maybe not… But it certainly works for me. In fact it doesn’t seem to have quite as much water packed in as some others I’ve tried. I don’t even rinse them anymore the fishy odor seems to be not quite as bad as it was a year ago…
