I noticed a cellphone tower visible from the window of one my rooms. The tower was at a Distance but it still concerned me and I wanted to check the electromagnetic field there. This product showed no spikes in my house but the moment I reached that room its alarm went off. Incidentally right at the place one would be sitting. So I am happy with this purchase as it can help me make informed decisions

Build quality is good and is sensitive enough to measure EMI, measurements near mobile phone activates it's buzzer with flashing red light. I have to test for other use cases, as I have got it last week.

Is ghost hunting possible with emf meter? Not sure if it can detect ghosts using this device at any place

Ich habe dieses Gerät gekauft, um meine Umgebung genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen und herauszufinden, welcher elektromagnetischen Strahlung ich täglich ausgesetzt bin. Ich muss sagen, ich war wirklich erschreckt, wie viele Geräte in meiner Nähe eine messbare Strahlung abgeben! Besonders beunruhigend war die Erkenntnis, dass sich direkt neben meinem Kopfende eine Starkstromleitung befindet, der ich jahrelang unbewusst ausgesetzt war – das hat mich zum Handeln motiviert. Was dieses Gerät so besonders macht, ist seine präzise Messung. Ausgestattet mit einem hochpräzisen elektromagnetischen Strahlungssensor misst es zuverlässig die Werte und zeigt diese klar und deutlich auf dem digitalen LCD-Display an. Die Möglichkeit, zwischen den Einheiten mG (Milligauss) oder µT (Mikrotesla) zu wählen, ist sehr praktisch. Ich konnte damit sowohl E-Feld als auch H-Feld Messungen genau durchführen – eine Funktion, die ich bei anderen Geräten bisher vermisst habe. Das Gerät hat mich nicht nur mit den Ergebnissen überzeugt, sondern auch mit seiner Zuverlässigkeit und Benutzerfreundlichkeit. Wenn der gemessene Wert die Sicherheitsgrenze von 0,4 µT (4 mG) oder 40 V/m überschreitet, schlägt das Gerät sofort Alarm: Der Bildschirm wechselt zu Rot, die Anzeige blinkt und ein Summer ertönt. Für ruhige Momente kann man den Summer natürlich auch deaktivieren – eine durchdachte Funktion! Die Möglichkeit, durchschnittliche oder maximale Werte zu messen und Daten zu speichern, ist ebenfalls sehr nützlich, um Veränderungen im Laufe der Zeit feststellen zu können. Das große, beleuchtete LCD-Display sorgt zudem für eine hervorragende Ablesbarkeit, auch bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen. Ich bin wirklich begeistert von den vielseitigen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten. Es eignet sich perfekt zur Messung elektromagnetischer Strahlung von Fernsehern, Computern, Mikrowellen und vielen anderen Geräten – ich habe es sogar schon genutzt, um die Strahlung in meinem Garten zu überprüfen! Die Idee, dass man damit auch eine "Geisterjagd" durchführen kann, finde ich persönlich sehr amüsant. Neben der Funktionalität überzeugt mich auch die Qualität des Geräts und seine einfache Handhabung. Very nice EMF detector, it appears quite sensitive, and it's a great investigative tool. It really helps to understand what e-fields and h-fields are in order to interpret the readings properly, otherwise you may freak out when the screen goes in warning/red. It did allow me to discover many surprises around the house though, and the measurements it took look quite accurate. Some others reported quirkly readings. I also initially thought mine was quirky, but the readings ended up being true, you just have to investigate. For example, my detector was having quite strange fluctuating readings around my laptop, keyboard and trackpad, and reacted differently depending on the way I held the detector, which was pretty weird. Until I figured out it was actually my electric sit-stand desk that was generating EMF fields and my body was interacting with those fields. Once I unplugged my desk, I was able to take very accurate readings of my computer equipment, which were surprisingly low. Since this detector only detects lower-band frequencies (5Hz-3.5Gz), this is non-ionizing radiation, so you really have to take into consideration that high readings and the wild beeps + red screen of the detector emits don't mean you're in danger! You really have to take in consideration the measured values, the distance and duration of exposure. For example, the detector goes wild when I'm testing it with my microwave, and most would be scared of the red screen, flashing LED and constant beeps the detector emits, but just stand a few feet away and it drops to normal levels, and even up close, that's only for a few minutes. In comparison, my electric blanket heater emits quite a bit of radiation, which is at much closer range and for much longer, so between the two, if I'd want to reduce my EMF exposure, it's not my computer, screen, TV or microwave I should worry about - it's my blanket! ;).
