I bought this as a Christmas present, but I would machine wash on the lowest temperature I.e. about 20 degrees or a wool cycle

Yes it does,I wore mine to go round my shoulders over a jumper which got covered in bits from the scarf. It's also not Cashmere as it says in the description, it's 100% Acylic
