Good for a spy themed gift

Waste of money and time - dried up and useless
Don’t bother with this - arrived completely dried out and does not function in any sort of manner that it should. Mine did some with batteries but also only worked if you pressed the button juuuuust right. Regardless we had no ink to look at…

The marker doesn't dry out quickly, the UV light isn't too strong, and the pen can withstand some abuse from an overactive child. I would recommend anyone to purchase this. If we ever needed to, I know we would.

Unusable
This arrived with little to no ink. It would barely write at all. Light worked fine, but I was unable to use it for the purpose I bought it. I didn't attempt a return/replace, because I needed it on the day I opened it.
