Big, brainy science for the littlest listeners Accurate enough to satisfy an expert, yet simple enough for baby, this book explores the basics of flight – from birds, to planes and rockets – and ties it all to baby’s world. Beautiful, visually stimulating illustrations complement age-appropriate language to encourage baby’s sense of wonder. Parents and caregivers may learn a thing or two, as well! With tongue firmly in cheek, the Baby Loves Science series introduces highly intellectual science concepts to the littlest learners. Review: Sturdy, fun, and scientifically accurate! - I ordered this board book on a whim while looking for science and math based baby books. I was intrigued by the positive reviews, and now that I have the book in hand, it's easy to see why so many people enjoy this series! The book is thick, sturdy, and should easily hold up to my 17-month-old's idea of "reading." The illustrations are adorable -- bright, cheerful, and full of whimsy. The best part, however, is that this book does actually contain accurate scientific information! If you want a textbook for your child, check elsewhere, but if you want simple, basic explanations of how things fly, then this is the way to go. The illustrations, accuracy, and sturdiness make this a winner in my book. P.S. I love the bird in the rocketship! Review: Gets kids interested in science :) - I purchased this book for my two-year old niece. This book explains the concept of lift (The top of her wing is curved, the bottom of her wing is flat!), propulsion (Fuel+Oxygen+Heat=Gas), and the differences between birds, planes, and jets. It is a cute little book, clearly intended to get kids interesting in science more than to actually explain complicated concepts to babies. I'm also a sucker for kid's books that have diverse characters. The child in the book has brown skin with brown curly hair. The book has 20 pages, and uninterrupted it takes less than two minutes to read aloud.

Great book!
Wonderful book! My 1- and 3-year-old kids love this book. The concepts are kept simple so they can really absorb the mechanical lesson and the characters are engaging and keep them interested. The book begins with a blue bird and explaining how it flies. The bird is then a constant character through the end, flying in the plane and rocket as well as the book simply explains how those objects fly. My kids just love that bird, they wave to it as it blasts off in the rocket ship.

I like this book a lot
I like this book a lot. Explains a couple basic aerospace science concepts while incorporating illustrations that are easy to follow and identify by my son. And the main character is female, which I like.

The babies in the pictures are fun for him to look at
My 3 month old LOVES these books. The babies in the pictures are fun for him to look at. He will listen to the story from start to finish. We started reading this book to him when he was just 3 weeks old and it has held his attention from the start. I even learned something new! The pictures are colorful and the content is well written, I can't wait to add activities to support the text when he gets older. We all love the illustrations!

So cute!
I bought this for our newborn to be funny since my husband is an aerospace engineer... However this book is quite adorable! It shows how wings on a bird work and so on! I can’t wait until our son can read and understand it until then we will read it to him!

Great for babies. Just as Good for Adults.
Bought this as part of a gift for a baby's first birthday. I read through the whole thing and learned something myself. That's saying a lot! Definitely recommend this book series, it's great for kids to start exploring their likes, even at such a small age. The book itself is hardcover, illustrated BEAUTIFULLY and I love the simple way it's written to explain complex concepts.
