I use it for stingers connected to my Atem Mini Extreme ISO. The Hyperdeck Studio Plus has the dual SDI outs so you can trigger overlays and stingers with alpha channels. This way I can camera switch live and record ISO so when it comes time to edit, my stinger transitions are already there as well as each camera. That way i'm not dragging and dropping transitions in Davinci. It's a real time saver if you are creating content on your own and need to move quickly. There is a learning curve, but Youtube has plenty on how to set this up.

My entire YouTube studio uses nothing but Blackmagic equipment. Everything that is filmed for our channel, The Edge of Innovation goes through BM equipment.

We’ve loaded multiple video renderings in every format and we cannot get audio and video to sync. We’ve searched help online in multiple forums and to make matters worse, blackmagic won’t return our calls. Service is horrible and product doesn’t work. We’re very disappointed as we had high hopes for this product.

I'm a pod caster. Just launched my show called Mind Union on YouTube. I bought this device so I can easily play video clips. Once you get it working, it does the job. However, Black Magic Design needs to issue a software update for some very quirky behavior. 1. You insert an SD card with video clips. Power up the device. ATEM control software sees the device, but some clips appear with the file name others don't show the file name. 2. if you quickly record something and then stop the recording, the device seems to read the card and all the file names appear properly. 3. If you pull the SD card with the device powered on, add a file with your computer and then reinsert the SD card, the ATEM control software says No Clips Available. Black Magic - get on it. Create a software update that solves these frustrating problems. Also your manuals are horrible. You try to write one manual for all models. This confuses the reader because it is often difficult to distinguish which feature applies to which model.

Dopo aver usato per una settimana la versione mini per i miei requisiti funzionali e workflow ho fatto upgrade al modello Plus. Copre totalmente tutte le mie necessità. Un prodotto davvero eccellente per Live broadcastingz recording e vari altri use case di video production. La qualità dei tasti rispetto al Mini è un ordine di grandezza superiore. Lo consiglio vivamente.

Wer Erfahrung mit Decklink Produkten hat, also z.B. UtraStudio Recorder, der wird hier enttäuscht. Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio HD Plus lässt sich an modernen macOS Betriebssystem nicht mounten. Ganz egal welche Software von Blackmagic man verwendet, macOS erkennt Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio HD Plus nicht! D.h. die von Blackmagic gelieferte Software ist richtiger Aussschuss! Und der Versuch von Blackmagic Hilfe zu bekommen ist vollkommen aussichtslos. Finger weg von diesem Aussschuss!
