can this sensor be attached to my shoe?

You could, but it wouldn’t work properly. This sensor reads two magnets one for speed the other for cadence.

How do you wake the sensor up? I keep spinning the tire and readjusting and it won’t wake up. It only starts working when I uninstall and reinstall

I haven't had that problem, but I've been using the CooSpo android app. When using that app (which is free), the cadence and speed functions stay linked to the app, and seem to start immediately when I start cycling. On the app there's a page to manage the bluetooth connections. Also, I use a Polar heart monitor... with a Polar app. I found that the heart monitor has to connect with the polar app BEFORE I link to the Coospo app or the polar app won't see it.
