Audel Welding Pocket Reference (Audel Technical Trades Series)

Well written and in 5 minutes one can feel the experience from the author which provides an easier learn. Not just random facts and practices. I took in each new item seriously, always looking forward to the next and usually give examples th prove these new practices. Very concise and structured lessons presented in an easily digested form, nice and easy butmknowledge rich. After reading a lot of this book, I'll say it's about as good as some of the industry standard books that list for $600+. I still don't know who buys those high priced titles when a good informative book for a reasonable price is available.

Ok, first off, this will not seem right at first. This is not a flowing type reference book. It chops out the "filler" and takes the snippet you need. It's a at your hand when you have no cell service and need a quick reference. As that, it's actually a really useful tool. It's in the tool box for those jobs. If you're looking for a how to book this is probably not what you're looking for.

I did not take a senile pill !! It's all in there for shur, but, this is a perfect reference for the basics that we all should have remembered..certainly more information than we need,small print for us vision-challenged,but also a comensurate,small price.If you get 2 you'll always have a reference/or gift, when your proud friends forget to return the first one they borrowed,,,regards

Great reference guide. Small and compact and fits well in my tool box. I like to have a book to turn to, as I am not always in a cellular friendly area when and if the need to double check something were to arise.

The biggest skill lost in today’s era is reading a book. I’m currently in school for welding and there’s only so much a teacher who might have been welding for 10+ years can teach you in a 3-12 months (or maybe the teacher just didn’t teach at all). What makes a difference in a welder is what you’re willing to learn on your own this book here will help you learn to be a better welder and knowing what type metals you will be dealing with along with different/most common equipments you will use in the field. You can’t take a laptop, tablet every where you go but you can always stick this very nice compact book in your car, bag, tool box, backpack etc. and never be caught off guard when you see a welding symbols or hear a terminology you are not familiar, or maybe you just forgotten what metals your not suppose to weld on I do believe whatever you’re having trouble with this book will simplify it for, you just have to make sure you read!! 10/10 book.

Welding knowledge at a glance

This book is an excellent reference for those of use who prefer books on paper. I downloaded the Kindle version which I have read "cover to cover". I am not a professional welder but have professional interest from the medical device applications of welding and need a quick reference for welding processes that I may encounter in my professional role. This book is a little dated but gives a thorough background on the science of bonding of various metals and their alloys. Those interested in automated and or exotic processes will need to seek a more sophisticated resource however this book's content serves as an excellent primary source and resource for the fundementals of metalic welding processes. I am out to purchase the print version that I can carry in the field.

I brought this book for quick reference when needed. This book has a great chart for stick electrodes showing what amperage is needed for the different sizes of electrodes. Also, show the good and the bad of each type of electrode on the chart. The Audel Welding Pocket Reference discuss most of the common welding procedures from TIG, MIG, Flux-core and many other modes. If you are beginner or an expert this reference manual is great to have in your tool box.

Great little book. Literally, the thing is tiny, although it does have a lot of pages and tons of great information, all of which is very helpful. I would definitely recommend this.

Absolutely fantastic 🤔 really good purchase 👍 it’s not a book to pick up and read all in one go. It’s definitely something worth having to pick up and read when you get five minutes to yourself, being new to Wilding I’m sure I’ll constantly be looking through this little book for tips and tricks on how to complete different tasks. Recommend this to anyone who is starting out

Bought for my step son. Fits perfectly in a toolbox and very well printed and put together, he says its invaluable to have on hand. Also bought him some cute welding stickers as he just graduated from welding school !! Kevin McGinley
