Velaze Cast Iron Griddle & Grill Pan for Gas & Electric Hobs - 45.5 x 26cm, Double-Sided Usable for BBQ, Camping & Garden

Was looking for a griddle that I could use on a gas cooker and found this absolutely great griddle plate. I have used it twice already and it’s great. Was washed as soon as I got it and gave it a coat of veg oil as instructed. Let it sit a couple of hours then used it to cook burgers . No sticking and eggs great result for first time use, worked great. Did pancakes today and it was great again. To those who don’t understand cast iron you cannot heat it up to high as you will burn your seasoning off and it will stick. When cooking it needs to be kept between 300-375f or it will stick. After every use wash dry thoroughly and put on low to medium heat for a few minutes to get all moisture off of it. Then give a light coating of oil then let cool. If you treat cast iron right it will be great for a long time. Fantastic item and would recommend it.

Brilliant griddle that cooks nicely and adds some very nice chargrill stripes to food. We use it mainly for horseshoe gammon and it cooks it perfectly.

Great item, can use on the cooker or outside on a BBQ, or a camp fire. I've done all 3 and it's great. Easy to clean, easy to use , especially outside as its nice and heavy so stays on the BBQ when you turn the meat. My only issue was the picture, I thought I was getting 2,.. so now I have to buy another as my son now wants one for his camping adventures. Great product

Rusted after first wash, didn't get to cook on it. Avoid.

I don’t know how to make this none stick but I’ve seen other comments to season it ! It’s good quality and weighty and looks the part I’m wanted to use at home in gas and on an open flame when camping - haven’t tried that yet but the tester at home was a disaster Tried bacon on the ridge side - I know that was an error but already threw it on and the other side was hot so I went with it - img ! Had nothing left worthy of eating just charred bits that were glued to the thing ! Took 3 days of soaking and scrubbing … because I lost the will to keep at it … I won’t throw it away cos I want to learn how to season the darn thing but it shouldn’t be this complicated imo ! If you’re buying this … and it is solid I’ll agree - there’s potential if I knew I needed an alchemy degree !!

Used a number of times now over our garden firepit. Good solid piece of kit with plenty of cooking space. Makes very juicy burgers without charring them from the flames, and also allows us to cook some different things you can't do on a grate - try chocolate pancakes, they're great for a cold lockdown get together! As with all cast iron gear you MUST take the time to look after it properly, but if you do this regularly it's very low maintenance. For me this meant a full 3 rounds of "seasoning" in the oven before first use, but now it just gets rinsed off after use, rub a very light smearing of oil all over, then let it cool down over the embers.

Acabo de estrenar mi nueva induccion aeg con zona flex y junto a esta he comprado esta plancha, el resultado ha sido espectacular, un matrimonio perfecto. Se calienta muy rápido y la plancha funciona genial en ambas caras, en algunas reseñas indican que solo detectan la inducción en una de ellas, aunque para cocinar solo he utilizado la parte lisa. He preparado cocas de dacsa como se ve en las fotos, (son una masa de harina de trigo y maíz), hamburguesas, filetes de ternera y huevos a la plancha, sin que se pegue nada en absoluto. Hay que saber usarla para que no se pegue elevando la temperatura de la misma antes de poner los alimentos y no usarla en frio. Lo mismo para el mantenimiento, no se os ocurra meterla en el lavavajillas o la estropeareis, aunque al ser de hierro fundido siempre tendrá arreglo. Cuando se use se lava con agua mientras aún está caliente, evitando poner mucha de golpe para no darle un cambio brusco de temperatura y deformarla o si aún está en la vitro reventarla, con algún estropajo metálico se raspan los restos de comida. Una vez limpia se seca muy bien y se engrasa, yo la vuelvo a poner al mismo "fuego" que está aún caliente ya que la placa de inducción retiene calor (a pesar de no tener resistencia y ser inducción lo hace). Así me aseguro que queda bien seca. Pondría que la volvería a comprar pero me da la impresión de que está plancha me enterrara a mi. Un saludo!!

Plaque très pratique pour de rôti /pâtisserie, j’ai utilisé depuis une semaine, je suis content de ce produit. Bon matériel solide et facile à nettoyer aussi.
