No annoying auto AC shutdown! Great unit!
This Takki S81 is great! I need 120V AC on/near my kitchen table for laptop when battery dies. It takes up less room than the older Anker unit I used. This power station provided an additional 11 hours of laptop runtime from "dead to dead agajn". The S81 provides 80 watts of 120 volts continiually, but laptop charger only draws 40-42 watts until laptop reaches 85%, then draws 25 watts. S81 didnt run 11 hours, but I charged laptop partially twice ran it 11 hours more from dead. Best part, S81 doesnt shut off automatically when AC power draw is under 20 watts like my older Anker unit. It kept AC output on with a 1 watt load, as well as nothing plugged in. The USB outputs will shut off after 20 seconds though if the DC draw is too low as with smaller devices or approaching full charge. Luckily the manual stated that to avoid this, simply turn on the AC outlet, even though no AC cord needs to be plugged into it. Cooling fan didnt come on until running AC for 1 hour, but was extremely quiet. My Anker unit fan comes on right away with same laptop, based on sensing power draw, not temperature. Had to struggle to hear fan on the Takki. Discharging air measured only 100⁰F. Initially was looking for a fanless station due to my Anker station fan became very loud over 5 years. Wish I knew that Takki made the "S81 Max" model. Is identical in every way, dimensions, power, etc., except a 25% bigger battery (25% more runtime) for only $28 more. I also wish this unit was pure sine wave AC, but is "modified sine wave" (square wave). No issue running the laptop charger though. Great looking unit! And compact size which was biggest attraction. Great for low powered AC appliances. Convenient, compact, attractive, and many features/functions.

Great for Camping!
I got this in the beginning of the week before my camping trip and I absolutely love it! I tested it days before and it was able to charge my phone and iPad no problem. I used it for my camping trip and it was able to fully charge my phone and iPad again, and inflate my air mattress. It eventually ran out of battery on the second day of my trip, so I had to charge it again, which took a few hours. I might buy the solar powered one next time so I’m able to recharge it on the spot. It’s very easy to use, portable, great for camping, and worth my money. Though the “car charger” isn’t really a charger. It’s just an adapter to plug something into, so it’s useless. The wall charger works as it should. I had to cover up the battery light because it’s too bright at night.

Essential for remote/primitive camping!
We took this portable power station on a 10-day remote camping trip in Alaska, and it exceeded all our expectations. It kept our phones and flashlights charged with no issues at all. We also used it to power the air mattress pump. The flashlight on this unit was super bright, and came in handy in the dry cabin at night, as well as random trips to the outhouse in the dark. We charged it using a solar panel (not included) during the day and also topped it off while driving between camping spots using the car outlet. Both methods worked smoothly, and we never once ran out of power. This thing was a game-changer for staying connected, navigating, and just keeping our gear functional in the wilderness. It’s well-built, easy to use, and light enough to haul around without much trouble. If you're heading off-grid—especially somewhere as remote as Alaska—this is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Factory defects of battery power retention
I got this battery over a year ago, by asking an Amazon associate to choose a quality outdoor battery for my small water fountain. After a month, the charge, which does not last as long as advertised, started to go down by 70% being "full". I followed the warranty instructions on the box (only an email) and never got a response. Eventually, the unit stopped holding a charge, so I called Amazon for help. First Amazon told me to write to the manufacturer again and give them 72 hours to reply, then let them know. I complied, and when I got no reply, I called Amazon again, and they told me to email the manufacturer one more time and give them 24 hours to reply. No response. So I let Amazon know, and after a long time on the phone, Amazon told me they could not help, even after making me jump through all those hoops. In the end, they did not even offer to replace the unit, and after complaining about all the time I spent on the phone, doing exactly what they told me to do twice, all I got was an apology and a ten dollar gift certificate credit. This type of situation has been happening a lot with Amazon product, particularly those on sale. I caution everyone to find out where the product was made and to research the manufacturer and find out if they are a reputable manufacturer. Do your research. Most AI platforms are free and you can type in, asking about the reputability of the factory that makes the item and get an answer within the AI's free window. Amazon has gone to the extremes of knowingly selling unreliable items and their lines are busy because people are trying to replace their items. Do your research. Amazon has gone to the wolves of Wall Street ....

A must-have for those who want to be prepared for emergencies.
I am thrilled to provide a positive review for the Portable Power Station by Takki. This camping solar generator power bank is a fantastic addition to any camping or emergency kit, offering versatility and reliability. One of the most impressive features of this power station is its compact and portable design. The unit is lightweight and easy to carry, perfect for camping trips, outdoor adventures, or emergencies. It's also small enough to take it anywhere in a backpack or car trunk. The power station is also incredibly versatile. It features a 110V AC outlet, USB ports, and a DC port, allowing you to charge various devices, including laptops, smartphones, tablets, and cameras. This feature is convenient for those who need to charge their devices while on the go. Another feature that sets this power station apart is its built-in flashlight. The flashlight is bright and helpful in illuminating your surroundings at night. It also has several lighting modes, including SOS and strobe, which can be beneficial in emergencies. The power station is also incredibly reliable. Its large battery capacity allows it to provide power for several devices for extended periods. It's also easy to charge by plugging it into a wall socket or using solar panels (sold separately). The unit's multiple charging options make it convenient to use in various situations. Overall, I highly recommend the Portable Power Station by Takki. Its compact and portable design, versatility, and reliability make it an excellent investment for anyone who enjoys camping, hiking, or outdoor activities. It's also a must-have for those who want to be prepared for emergencies. The built-in flashlight is a bonus, and the ability to charge multiple devices at once is incredibly convenient.

Small, and very useful.
Works great, for its size. It won’t power up a fridge , but will work for all smaller devices you may use for camping. Phone, laptop, misting fans, air compressors and etc. the fact that it comes with solar panels for its price is what convinced me to get this. First thing I did was use the solar panels to charge this baby up. I work for the post office and always have misting fans. Mini hand held blowers, battery jumpers and other devices that I power up and charge width this using free energy with those solar panels. Best investment by far. Good price compared to all the others I’ve seen. And I’m thinking of getting a bigger one to run some household items. 😀

Meets basic needs during a power outage.
I was hoping it would power our electric loveseat recliner during a power outage. Sadly it doesn't, but it will keep the lamp on and charge our phones... We don't have a lot of power outages, but it's nice to know we have a backup plan.

Good
Great product for what it is but if you can live without the plug I'd recommend "KONFULON 60000mAh High Capacity Power Bank" it last much longer and has similar features
