Unless otherwise noted, all of our bass strings are 48" in length and designed for basses with a scale length of 34".

What are good for rock?

Slinky are basically made for Rock! Bright, but also well rounded tones. Hope that helps.

Hi there, If the scale length of the bass is around 34 or 35 inches it should work. Also John Myung's name appears on the back as an endorsed artists for the strings. Hope this helps!

Which set would be good for drop B?

A larger string gauge will produce higher tension. When you drop your tuning that higher tension will help retain note clarity and power. Go for the Power Slinky or buy an even larger 5 string set and use only the biggest 4 strings. You'll have to adjust the truss rod and bridge afterwards.
