Flimsy hardware - knob broke from lid under normal use
Update- I did an exchange for a new teapot. That process was too easy and fast. UPS'd the one with the defective knob yesterday and received the new one today. Seems like the lid on this one is far less tight, so I'm feeling good about the knob staying on. I bumped it up to 5 stars. I just really like the infuser, the teapot shape, and size (not too big). Glad it worked out that I ended up with it. -------- I originally bought this tea pot for a gift. If the Amazon delivery person didn't toss the box onto my driveway and crush the outer and inner product box, my friend would have been writing this review, not me. Anyhow, since the teapot inside the product box was really well insulated with foam it survived the ordeal. So, I decided to keep it and give a gift card to my friend. Now, after only 3 days of use the knob on the lid came apart. What a disappointment. The knob is fastened to the lid with what looks like a regular 3/4" steel wood screw. Inside the knob's base is some sort of plastic and that broke apart dislodging small pieces of plastic that contaminated a good Japanese Sencha brew. Apart from this unfortunate product failure I really like the teapot. The borosilicate glass body holds up well - I used it with Medium heat on our electric stove top and in our microwave oven. I like the look, which is why I purchased it for a gift. The infuser is stamped with 304 which is more like 18% chromium and 8% nickel, that is 18/8, versus the 18/10 mentioned in the Amazon description. No big deal to me. The infuser works well keeping the leaves and grit away from the beverage and it is also easy to clean. Now I have to decide what to do with the teapot, as I can't use it without a knob to remove the lid.

Magnificent teapot โ superb quality and very convenient!
This is a wonderful teapot! The quality is excellent. The teapot looks very elegant and stylish. The metal parts are high-quality and beautiful, pleasant to the touch. The lid fits tightly and stays in place perfectly when pouring โ it doesnโt fall off. Tea pours cleanly with no spilling. The 1000 ml volume is quite large, perfect for brewing tea for several people. Itโs comfortable to hold in the hand and doesnโt slip. The glass is clear and thick, giving it an expensive look. Very satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommend!

Best teapot ever- highly recommended to all tea drinkers.
This is the perfect teapot. I make 2 mugs of tea for myself each morning using loose tea. This teapot has a removable infuser with a heatproof handle on it so that you can just lift out the tea leaves and keep your tea from getting bitter while you drink your first cup at leisure. After removing the infuser basket, the cover fits snugly and doesn't have to be held on while pouring. I use a tea cozie to keep the teapot warm. I kept searching for a 26 oz pot which fits the amount of tea I always make, but couldn't find one after my old one broke. I simply measured out where 26 oz comes to in this new larger pot and pour my boiling water in to that mark and voila. The handle is great too- easy to hold while pouring and the way the teapot is balanced it doesn't hurt my weak wrist. This pot was clearly designed by a tea drinker! Thank you. Oh! And the price is great, too.

Very attractive. Sturdy glass quality. Super handle shape to avoid slipping when full.
I wanted to try a glass teapot that could be used on a stove but not to heat water in. I use an electric tea kettle that has individual temps for white, oolong, herbal, black, etc. teas & I'd be lost without it to set the right temp BUT I have a new glass top stove with a center burner that is devoted to keeping things warm. That's where this teapot is worth every penny spent!! I make my choice of the day tea (I only buy loose tea so am particular about the quality, source, etc.) using the electric kettle but after that, the teapot goes right on that warming burner on its lowest temp and my tea remains PERFECT until its gone. I'm so thrilled to have it stay gently warm. The flat bottom is just perfect and I wish I'd had this years ago. Except for my clay pots, I don't have to cover anything with a tea towel to keep it warm. The size is good for a day's tea for me. With arthritis in my hands, I can't tell you how well the square top handle shape works for me. No more slipping. The only suggestion I'd make to the manufacturer is to change the top knob on the lid from aluminum to wood or something that doesn't get so hot. Once you brew a full pot, that lid gets really hot & you need to use a small cloth to open it if you're using the basket or just holding it in place as you pour. The top part of the lid also expands with heat and you have to tug to get it out. Once it cools, it comes right out. The glass part & the strainer work beautifully but some rethinking of the very top knob would be nice. Overall, that hot knob isn't a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned though because this pot has so many super features & a dynamite shape. Perfect gift item.

My favorite teapot
9 years later and this is still my favorite teapot. I'm a teacher and I get sick quite a bit; this teapot has saved me more times than I can count. It's size may appear deceptive, but I make a 40 oz batch easy. It's super sturdy and cute. The lid and strainer stay in place with no loose leaves going where they shouldn't. It's very easy to clean and I love the simple petite look of it.

Elegant Teapot, Perfect Brew!
Iโve been using this teapot daily and Iโm really happy with it. The 1000ml (33 oz) size is just right for a few large cups of tea or for sharing with family. The glass looks elegant and feels sturdy โ not too thin, so it doesnโt feel fragile. I also love being able to see the color of the tea as it brews. The stainless steel infuser is very practical and keeps even small loose tea leaves inside, so thereโs no mess in the cup. Itโs easy to remove and clean, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable. The handle stays cool enough to hold comfortably, and the lid fits securely. The taste of the tea comes out clean and fresh, and I enjoy watching blooming teas open up inside the pot โ it really adds to the experience. For the price, I think this teapot is an excellent value. It combines beauty, functionality, and good quality. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves loose leaf tea or wants a stylish teapot for daily use.

Worked well and good before it broke - but it's a glass tea pot. I really liked it.
Hot handle. The glass did have black burn from the fire stove. But that's just cosmetic. It worked great for 4 years until it broke. We drink tea in seasons... when the herbs are out and strong! The strainer was great. It was easy to clean. The size seemed sufficient for a large family. I'm debating buying it again. It looks like many people spoke of how theirs broke as well. That just might be the cost of a glass teapot. (But I like that you can see it's not rusting and nothing's growing in it!). So is it a production issue or is it just simply that it's glass? I think it's just glass.

Great until it broke
Really loved this, how easy it worked, and how aesthetic is wasโฆ.until it broke from the smallest hit on the side of the sinkโฆ.

Very thin delicate glass
No very thick and the spout broke so I had to throw it out not thick enough for a teapot

Very good quality
It is perfect for couple of tea cups. It looks very fragile but it handled well the boiling water! The filter is thick and no residue is transfer in the tea.
