Can in use this as a table protector while kids paint?

Depends on the paint - it’s a vinyl type Too so it wiped well but again if it’s a oil based paint it may ruin it.

Will this fit an oval table?

not 100% sure. Our table is 48" round and it fits nicely with 4-5" to spare all around.

Item came wrinkled. How do I make it smooth since it’s plastic

We’ve had ours a couple of weeks. It is slowly getting less wrinkled but not smooth yet.
