This is the BEST pool skimmer plug i have ever used.

I like the concept of not having to drain our pool every winter. Tried this plug for the first time. It seemed to have sealed nicely against the pool wall and no water was visibly leaking. However, after a month it began to leak, slowly, and eventually had a skimmer of frozen water as the leak would slowly freeze. Not sure what the answer is but don't like risking a frozen skimmer.

I have tried different solutions to winterize my pool, including having to drain down to skimmer level to have an empty skimmer line. This is the perfect solution!! DO measure from inside your pool and make sure its the right size. ITS A TIGHT FIT, which is what is needed to seal properly. Highly recomend

Fit perfect

Have used this for 2 years, the product fit and and the pool closed great but when temps dropped and ice froze it popped the plate out. The foam had pulled away and I had a frozen water from the skimmer and water lowered to half the pool level. 2nd I thought I would try again. The plate did the same thing popped out and water Lowered slowly however I did not realize until we opened the pool. I have no idea how to seal it so it will not pop, next year I will lower below the skimmer line, I may put it back in just to seal the pool. Not happy with the results.
