Officer Smoked Cod Liver 4.26 oz (8 PACK)

I wish this item was still available. I do not understand the negative review that I saw about the size of the contents. I really do not understand. The product is simply excellent, price, taste, quantity. I have purchased a lot of cod liver in France (where this is common staple) and the cans have the same quantity as this item. I order these by 10 or 20 and enjoyed it when Amazon used to carry this product. I hope this will be available again. I now have to find another vendor online to purchase these. Even people who do not like the words cod liver, if they taste this item, will love it. It is smoked and has a gourmet-delicacy flavor to it. I use it in my salads and it is my quick fix it food when it is late, I need something to eat and am too tired to cook. I use it once a week or twice a month. And of course, you can research the benefits of cod liver oil online. Another plus is that it is packed in cod liver oil and not as we see today, in those dangerous oils like soybean, canola, etc. Not sure why this is no longer available by Amazon, but as a person who is natively familiar with cod liver, I can tell you this product is excellent. I hope it is carried again by Amazon because the price was good. Do not hesitate to purchase it.

Long chain omega 3 fatty acids in the form of smoked cod liver. I first started eating this decades ago when a French friend introduced it to me. It didn't hurt that my MS thesis was on cod liver and I probably analysed more cod livers than anybody else in the world (at least at that time). Having my hands soaking in cod livers that I removed from fish for months on end resulted in my hands being as soft as baby bottoms. Oh come on ... I have kids (adults now). I changed lots of diapers ... I'm not in the habit of grabbing babies bottoms .. geese, some people. Anyhow, I wanted to include more long chain n-3 (omega 3) fatty acids in my diet but I'm not a fan of taking pills. Fatty fish, check, smoked cod liver, check. Yea, there is oil in the tins, thats what happens when you 12D thermally process products with >60% fat ... but the oil in the cans is the cleanest tasting cod liver oil I've tasted, so I drink the oil out of the tin after I eat the liver. Remember, I'm eating this for the omega 3 and I don't like the pills ... especially since the oil in these cans tastes way better. I don't get fishy burps, but the oil does rest heavy in my stomach and one tin of this is all I eat for lunch many days. I eat this stuff from the tin with hot sauce, I eat it on toast, I mix it with potatos, I'd eat smoked cod liver in a box, I'd eat smoked cod liver with a fox. We shall see if including a lot of omega 3 in my diet decreases by blood triglycerides (like its supposed to). My Dr. said I should take fish oil pills, but I don't like pills. I'll update when I find out.

Cod liver a few pieces rest oil. Never will buy again.

This might sound strange to some but at 74 years old I do suffer occasionally with some brutal sciatica attacks , not able to walk, drive nor sleep! The only thing that if it is in my system relieves that pain is the omega 3 in the Officer smoke cod liver?? I did try less expensive brands, since I need to eat at least 2 to 3 cans a week but it did not work? Did not taste great either! Call me a costumer for life, absolutely! Can I get a membership?
