NOT the same as the American "Douwe Egberts, Senseo, Espresso"....
I know that different countries have different flavour palates, and thank goodness for that since European cheese, bread and chocolate puts the American versions to shame, but sadly, these pods are not as good as their American version.I purchased these because they were clearly cheaper than the American ones (whose price has lately been flirting in the overpriced zone), and, to be honest, I disregarded the potential of palate difference.Are they okay? Yup. Still better than the other Senseo blends, but not as rich and complex as the American Senseo Expresso pods. They have a slightly different flavour - sharper, maybe - and seem a little more watery. Basically, 1 pod isn't flavourful enough, but 2 is a bit violent.I'll be drinking my way through my mistake, but I won't be buying these again. But who knows, maybe someone else out there will like these more...we all have different palates after all.
