Clay is amazing absolutely love it!

I work in metal clay and I sometimes use wood or cork clay to make molds that I put the metal clay over. When I fire the piece in the kiln, the wood or cork clay burns away leaving just the metal in a hollow form. I purchased this brand for the first time because it was cheaper than what I usually get. It seemed fine when I opened it. It molded nicely, dried well, and was nice and smooth when dry. However, after I fired 2 pieces at over 1600 degrees for 2 full hours, the wood clay did not burn out! Since the package is completely in Japanese I couldn't read the instructions, but somebody else thought to use Google translate, but it didn't really help. I tried soaking the pieces in boiling water for 2 hours, didn't soften the wood clay a bit. I fired one of the pieces again at 1650° for 1 1/2 hours, still nothing. I finally had to saw the silver piece in half and dig the wood clay out, then repair the silver. The wood clay was very hard, but actually felt exactly like it had from the beginning! So, if you're using this to sculpt on it's own, it's fine. Quite hard and durable. But be aware that there is something in there besides wood or it would have definitely burnt out at 1600°!

鑑賞石の台座作りに購入しました。 思った以上に堅めでしたので、丈夫なビニール袋に入れて水を足し、柔らかくして石を押し付け製作しました。 真夏でしたが、乾燥に結構時間がかかりました。（10日程） 乾燥後は彫刻刀で微調整をして、生漆を3回程染み込ませれば、良い感じに仕上がりました。

他の方のレビューでひけないようなことだったので、型取りに購入しましたが、収縮しまくりです。よく見たら約10%ほどひけるようです。ご注意を！3個も買ってどうしよう、、、 乾燥時間は厚みにもよりますが、湿度の高い日は全然乾燥が進みません。私の場合約1.5cmの厚みで1週間位かかりました。 乾燥後は本当に硬く、爪先で押してもほとんど跡がつかないほどです。 木工で、薄めのパテとして使えないかと考えています。

買っていたのを忘れていて、購入数年後に開封しましたが、乾いて硬くなることもなく、適度な硬さで使いやすかったです。

乾燥すると割と縮みます。 乾燥後の硬度は十分で普通の紙粘土より良いです。
