will it even fit in an older model warmer? some of the reviews made it sounds like these were too tall for that. mine is a round warmer with two slots

U can buy medium one if u think its tall. I have six place in warmer, three places for large wax rollers and three for small . So I don't know about your warmer ;)

what type of roll on wax warmers should i use with the gigi refills

The older 'personal waxer' oval style fit the gigi refills, the clean and easy refills do not fit.

How long can I heat this up in the microwave?

Do not heat this product in a microwave!! It is meant to be used in conjunction with the warmer I have attached below. I have the system and love how it works. Well worth the money!! Clean + Easy Professional Waxing Spa System, Large Roll-on Wax Warmer, Unit Only (120V)
