I bought these because my computer does not have any speakers other than the CMOS speaker. I researched and debated on which speakers to purchase. I have little funds for nonessential purchases, so I needed something inexpensive. I love listening to music, so I wanted something of high quality. After reading reviews and comparing products, I narrowed down my options to 2 speaker sets, the ARVICKA Computer Speaker set being one of them. The warranty is what won me over. I figured since the manufacturer offered a two-year (24 month) warranty, they expected these speakers to last at least two years. Combine that with lifetime customer service, well, choosing them was the most logical choice. So, I chose them. I am glad I did for a couple of reasons: The sound is awesome and the company is, too. Details are below: The first time I plugged in the speakers, there was a constant high-pitched whistling sound. On top of that, the speakers would randomly stop making any sound -- much like one would expect if there was a short in the wiring. I was so very disappointed. I emailed the manufacturer's support team and stated I needed to make a warranty claim. I expected to have to wait a week before getting a response. To my great surprise and delight, I got an email response that very same day!! They were super friendly, apologized about the issue, and gave me instructions on how to make said warranty claim. Here is the thing, though. While I was waiting for their support to respond, I unplugged the speakers and plugged them back in, being sure to press the connectors in all the way. Then I tested the speakers again. This time, no whistling sound -- just beautiful music!! The speakers made sound constantly, too. In short, all my issues with the speakers were resolved. The cause of the issues was the connection, not the speakers. I highly recommend these speakers and the company. The speakers are great for everyday computer use, gaming sound use, and listening to music use. (I live stream, but I bet they would be great for listening to CDs, etc, too.) While I have not watched any shows or videos on my computer, based upon the speakers' performance so far, they would be great for that, too! The company has awesome customer service and stands behind their products and warranty. 5 Stars all the way!! (Oh, in case you are wondering, while the LED lights did not impact my decision-making process, the LED lights are a nice touch. A very pretty blue. But, if you do not like the LED lights, no worry. You can turn them off without turning off the speakers. Personally, I find the LED lights very appealing.)

Just the other day the built in speakers on my otherwise perfectly functioning laptop crapped out. The native speakers for my laptop were never top of the line, sounded kinda hollow, so my expectations with these Arvicka speakers were low. I have been pleasantly surprised by the Arvicka speakers' performance. Music wise, I listen to everything from down tempo, jazz to 70's acid rock, classical and pop, and the sound is very nice for the price. I am grooving right now to some Chilled Cow and it sounds perfect. Nice kick at a decent volume without distortions. Before chillin' I played a half hour of Dead Space and I can say that these speakers are an improvement to the built in speakers I've been working with. The small size (very small by normal standards) is perfect for the limited space of my desk. And I like that I can turn off the ambient blue light on the speakers with the click of a switch. Having a choice is nice. I would buy these again. Nice speakers! BCT

So the operation of this is simple: 1) on/off switch 2) plug it into your aux 3) turn it all the way up. (then control the volume from your computer). The one thing? On my Macbook Pro, even if it's plugged int it doens't always put out sound and reverts back to the computer speakers. When that happens, I have to unplug it from the aux (aka headphone port) and re-plug it back in, then they work). There is not logical reason why this would be. The laptop should and has always recognized when a headphone is plugged in to route sound to that output. For some reason it doesn't with these speakers. Minor first world problem. For the price, simplicity, and the sound (no sub woofer for those looking for that- otherwise very high quality sound.. i'm a certified audio engineer for music/films btw..), fantastic buy. Oh.. and perfect if you want something compact and not take a lot of space or be heavy or inconvenient to pack and move (which I tend to do regularly).

I was looking for specific characteristics, and this nailed ALL of them. I was nervous for the price ( incredibly cheap ), but now that they've proven themselves, the price only sweetens the deal. Here's what I was looking for: - SMALL. I like my desktop to have an uncluttered zen, and these babies are just more than the size of my fists. - AESTHETIC: I wanted a nice, modern looking speaker... no grids protecting the speaker or anything old school. That in combination with the soft blue led glow, and my desktop is looking very appealing. A nice place to relax after work. - SOUND: It's a tall order for small speakers to sound good. Now, this is a subjective thing, and I'm no audiophile, but I'm pleasantly impressed with what these can do. They fill my living room when I play some rock music on a sunny day, and they play my video game sounds well. - INEXPENSIVE: I just didn't want to pay very much. I like the efficiency of getting all of the above for less than $15. Here are the cons, which don't matter to me AT ALL. These might matter to others though: CONS: - Though they look modern and chic on the desktop, if you actually pick them up they feel like a cheap china-town trinket. That's not a slur, if you've been to China Town, Manhattan, you know what I mean. - They require both USB *and* aux cable to be plugged in. More sophisticated (expensive) products might only require USB, and register as a USB sound device on your system. Others might only require the aux cable, though they would be very quiet then. That's it. I've had these for weeks and it still puts me in a good mood every time I see them on my desk!

I bought this product because had a good review but again only one person made a review about a big sound production of this speakers but I was so disappointed that only one speaker works and it sounds cheap. My desktop sounds better than the ones I bought. In Australia we pay a lot of money for not even good quality products, I expected more than what it looks. Next time I know.

Great speakers especially for desktop applications. Delivers a big sound for small speaker. Very happy.

Works great, easy to use, the light is pretty, sound isn't great but it's what I would expect of speakers this price. Portable.
