Portable CB radio President RANDY III AM/FM, Roger Beep, ASC, ANL, NB, HI-CUT, CTCSS/DCS, battery

For UK it came with an adapter to make the charger fit a UK plug. I've had some great copies with it, using the supplied rubber duck, on a hill, I got 25 miles radio 4 to 5. The functions are easy to get to on the go and the ease of access means that they have been well thought out. The supplied car adapter is well built and solid with standard female for a car aerial. Very loud if turned up. Can select FM, FM UK and AM and the are international band selection for a few countries. Display is very clear. Love the colours But it's about the receiver sensitivity and transmitter audio. It's not quite 4 watts but the superb transmit audio is very clear on the other end even if slightly quiet. SWR's in excellent to a mag mount and got almost as good a signal to the receiving station using a long telescopic (bought separately) amazing. The aerial mount on the radio is a TNC not BNC, that annoyed me at first but now, using the larger telescopic aerial im glad it's the TNC, more solid a connection. Belt clip is good. I never considered President radios because of the price but after the performance of this one, I think the price is worth the extra for an excellent bit of kit. Heard some great skip all the way from the US on the telescopic while out walking as well at some points during the day, though no answers yet to my requests for a copy. Don't forget though that elevation is key for any radio. 73's!

I am absolutely in love with this handheld. The quality of features, construction and performance has blown my mind, along with the minds of many of the contacts I've made within a week of owning it! Along with the Randy 3, I purchased a 1.3m TNC telescopic antenna to give myself an advantage in terms of reception but the rubber duck that comes with the handheld is probably the best stock antenna on the market, too! I took this handheld to a local high spot overlooking the area, around 220ft high and my mind was blown. I have made contact with people over 45 miles away and they were crystal clear in terms of quality. They were shocked to the point of near doubt that I was on a handheld, given how strong and clear of a signal I was giving them. Now I've made a load of contacts on the CB that I'm getting to know! I have two tips for potential users that I wish I'd known initially! 1) Go into the radio's menu and turn 'eco mode' to OFF (shows as 'Of'). 2) Go to a place that is as high as possible and clear of obstructions such as trees, electronic interference such as homes/electrical wires, etc. This will ensure the best potential to receive and transmit. The Randy 3 is my first ever foray into CB radio. I bought this admittedly expensive device in the face of objections that "CB is dead!" and "Nobody has been on CB since the 80s!". Even with the absolute lowest of expectations I have come out with results that have shocked even the veterans on the airwaves who've been doing this for decades. Location played a huge part, to be sure, but this sort of performance for a handheld is absolutely wild. Even if it's expensive, this product is worth every penny and it's inspired me to start saving up to get a dedicated antenna for my home to make a home base setup to go even further into the hobby. You get a lot of extras with this handheld, too: such as a car adapter for mobile setups, a belt clip, the works as should be expected at this price point. Also comes with a 2-3 year warranty! All in all, I can't praise this handheld enough. It's the perfect way to get into CB and make it even more portable and versatile.

If you were a teen in the 80s then and wanting some reminiscencing then this is the kit for you. Some say there aren’t as many people using CB these days, which is true. But there are enough to make it exciting. The Randy 3 is perfect. I bought a Midland ALAN 4DS, the Randy blows it out of the water hands down. Save yourself some time and stick with the Randy. It’s the handheld of choice by pros and amateurs alike. Just ensure you follow this pointers for happy CB’ing in the UK… 1. Switch your Randy to UK from EU 2. Turn the device off 3. Press and keep held down the function button 4. Whilst switching on the unit 5. Press up or down until you see U 5. Press function 6. Turn off then on the device 6. Press mode until you see FM UK (see photo) EARS ON! You’re good to go. Get yourself a mag aerial for your car. I went with the 1.5m Thunderpole, my Randy 3 woke up!! The Randy 3’s awesomeness doesn’t stop there. It comes with the house charger and car charger that includes the necessary cable to attach to an aerial in the car. Also consider buying a mic/speaker - only buy the President models because the spacing of the jacks on other makes aren’t the correct distance. I ended up buying the mic only accessory (like the little handheld with the coiled cable) for the car. It’s legal to use and you don’t need the sound coming from it, just use it as the mic. Don’t forget channel 19 is you go-to channel. Welcome to 1981, enjoy :)

Came with most the parts missing no home charger no belt clip or lanyard and side cover for earphone attachment missing. The box was clearly tampered with I can only imagine what's happened here

Das Gerät ist im Vergleich zu den anderen CB Funkgeräten sehr kompakt gehalten und sehr gut verarbeitet. Liegt wirklich gut in der Hand. Die vielen Einstellungsmöglichkeiten sind beeindruckend. Schönes, großes Display, wo man die Einstellungen gut ablesen kann. Es liegt auch ein Anschlusskabel für den Zigarettenanzünder sowie einer externen Antenne bei. Echt super! Es wurde zwar zuerst nur 1 Gerät geliefert worden, obwohl 2 bestellt worden sind. Aber nach einem angenehmen E-mailwurde das 2. Gerät sehr schnell geliefert. Echtes Lob an die Firma Keimfunk.de !! Empfehlenswert.

Ho preso un usato Amazon, funziona bene ed è come nuova, radio cb portatile completa di tutto e molto buona, molto semplice da usare, la batteria dura tantissimo adesso devo montarla in auto comunque molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto ha tantissime funzioni utili come filtri rumore, lo squelch automatico, Vox, Roger beep, display colorati, ecc..., La comunicazione è molto buona e chiara, L'antenna fornita non è potentissima adesso ne ho presa una estraibile più lunga sempre qui su Amazon, le plastiche e il dispositivo sono di buona fattura si vede che è una radio di buona qualità vediamo se con l'antenna esterna funzioni bene da provare più approfonditamente comunque dalle prove fatte quando è alimentata con il caricatore sembra che aumenti la potenza, si può alimentare sia in auto che a casa con il caricatore 220v ci sono tutti gli accessori per utilizzarla ed anche questi sono molto resistenti e di buona fattura alla fine vale i soldi spesi! 👍
