Are these TSA approved?

I think the TSA liquids bag needs to be plastic. These are mesh, so probably not appropriate for TSA liquids bag. The zippers are not as sturdy as some other mesh bags I have, but they are adequate for regular use.

Is the mesh tight enough to block most dust?

The mesh is hollow and cannot block dust.
