Love the story and the illustrations!

The story is sweet, funny, and super relatable—especially for little ones who are a mix of excited and nervous about a new school year. She loved seeing Penny so pumped to be with her best friend, and the twist at the end had us both smiling. The rhyming style is fun to read aloud, and the illustrations are colorful and full of energy. This book made bedtime the night before school so much more special—and way less scary.
