These are decent quality filters. I’ve used them many times before. However, they advertise that it filters out smells and smoke. I can tell you at very best they may reduce it in small amount but not eliminate smoke or smells. They last a while however with out the charcoal filter they won’t last nearly as long as they claim if you use your machine often like I do. The good news is they do a great job on filtering dust and pollen. I have severe asthma and since purchasing these machines and filters I’ve had very few complications. My symptoms have gone done a ton. They are very helpful in filtering air from dust, pollen, allergens and so on. I replace them every two months at the most. When u look at them after a couple Months you’ll see they are caked on with dirt and filtration power is significantly reduced. Using the charcoal filters you can extend the life, it will collect most major dust before hitting the filter and after about 30-40 days I remove the black charcoal filter and I have almost new looking filters. For the money they are a good buy. They fit snug and feel like quality made filters. They are great as long as you are not a smoker thinking it will eliminate the cigarette smell completely. I would buy them again and again.
