These bits are used to form a deep, decorative detail found on dining room, coffee or end tables, window sills, chair rails and china cabinets. You can create a unique style edge or duplicate a classic design. One edge or top and bottom edges can be molded depending on wood thickness. Best results are obtained by making several light passes, increasing depth of cut with each pass. Bits are 2 flute, carbide-tipped with totally enclosed ball bearing guides. Cuts shown are based on making the maximum profile. Additional profiles can be made by raising the top portion of bit above the wood. 7/16" Depth of Cut, 3/8" Carbide Height. 1/2" Shank.

Good Solid Bit
I bought this bit because I had to copy some raised panel drawers from an antique dresser that apparently had been made with custom tooling. I used this bit for the raised panel and sharpened the edge radius with a roundover with very good results. Not much to say about a router bit except that it was what it was supposed to be and did what it was supposed to. It was solid, balanced and the cutter ran true with the flute. After cutting about 20' by hand with an edge guide, there was no noticable dulling of the cutter and I didn't have any binding, gouging, tearing or burning issues on my panels.
