If you want a gate that will outlast the wood by 5 times that is installed on it, this one is for you. Cannot beat the price, functionality, ease of assembly. Great why didn't I think of that part!

I have no particular carpentry skills, and I was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly the installation of this product went. After opening up the box and starting initial assembly, I was a little concerned about how robust it would be, given the seeming slackness in the extension bars. Once the 2x4s were in, though, it was very rigid and solid. The gate hangs level and swings true. The hardest part (and it wasn’t really hard) was installing the hinges into my 4x4 fence post. Using a spade bit to drill the holes is essential; then, it’s a matter of putting a box-end wrench or vise grip over the hinge and putting some muscle into turning it a bunch of times to screw it into the post. I am really satisfied with this product. I see that some reviewers have said the finish doesn’t hold up over time; should I have that experience, I will post a follow-up but, for now, I’m quite pleased with the gate.

Liked the ease at which I could build out a gate to the dimensions I wanted. However I was very disappointed in the screws and bolts. The "wood" screws that screw into the 2x4 material were a joke. you could tighten to about 6 inch/pound before they just spun. Absolutely no bite. I replaced them all with a quality coarse wood screw and it was much stronger. The carriage bolts used to attach the hinges immediately stripped out and would not hold the gate in place, so again I had to source new good quality bolts to replace what came in the kit. Overall a good kit with bad hardware. Just plan on replacing the screws and bolts.

I have used this product five times. Consistent results every time. Easy to assemble. Fits a 48 inch height gate. Lasts many years. I like the results

With careful planning and repeated reviews of the included instructions as well as watching several YouTube videos I was able to assemble and install this gate system … successfully (by my standards) … see pictures … I replaced my wood-rotting side yard gate with the ‘Adjust-A-Gate | Steel Frame DIY Gate Building Kit | 36”-72” Wide | Up to 6’ Tall | New Black Color | AG72-LTP’ As previously stated … I watched several YouTube videos to fully understand the assembly instructions … notably, I: - Didn’t measure 16 inches above & below the midpoint. - Because my support for the ‘Post Hinges’ was a 2x4 anchored to a block wall rather than to a 4x4 post, I replaced the ‘Post Hinges’ included in the kit with (pictured) ‘Insaga 2pcs Wall Mount Gate Hinge for Farm Gate, 304 Stainless Steel Gate Hardware, One-Piece Molding Wall Plate Hinges, Chain Link Gate Hinge with 5/8' Hinge Pin (Screws Not Included)’. - I painted the cedar planks with one coat of ‘Kilz2 All-Purpose Interior/Exterior Primer’ followed by 3 coats of ‘Behr Premium Plus Exterior Semi-Gloss Enamel Paint and Primer’. Note: the Instructions state “Approximate assembly time with 1 person – 1 hr.’ This statement is misleading … with the painting I allowed 4 days .. one day between each coat.
