โA vibrant color and a great feel, with one small quirk
I've been using this Xbox Wireless Controller in Electric Volt for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed. First off, the color is even better in person than in the photosโit's a truly stunning, vibrant fluorescent green that makes my setup pop. The new design with the textured grips on the triggers and back is a huge improvement in feel and comfort, and the hybrid D-pad is incredibly responsive for platformers and fighting games. โThe build quality feels solid, and the buttons have a satisfying, crisp click. All in all, it's an excellent controller and a major upgrade from the older models. โThe only minor downside, which is more of a preference, is that the controller still uses AA batteries out of the box. While they do last a long time, it's a little inconvenient to have to swap them out or purchase a separate rechargeable battery pack. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, but a built-in rechargeable battery would have made it perfect. โOverall, if you're looking for a high-quality controller with a standout aesthetic, this is a fantastic choice

Phenomenal Performance & Head-Turning Color!
The Xbox Wireless Controller is already the gold standard, and the Electric Volt Special Edition takes it to the next level. I use this exclusively for PC gaming, and the quality is exceptional. The core function is flawless: the triggers are perfectly responsive, the thumbsticks glide smoothly, and every button press is clean and crisp with zero sticking issues. But the real joy is the look of this controller! The Electric Volt colour is absolutely stunning - it's incredibly vibrant, almost neon, and truly pops in person. Itโs definitely a head-turner and adds so much personality to my gaming setup. If you want top-tier performance combined with an eye-catching design, this is the one to snag. Highly recommended!

Nice controller, works well with Steam and Linux (after a firmware update)
So, these XBox controllers. They apparently have a Bluetooth bug that stops them from working properly with the majority of devices. Only the XBox works with them flawlessly, as it's permissive to their strangenesses. I tried to connect it to my Linux laptop, but I got the same problem that I got with a pair of headphones that have a bluetooth bug in the connect phase. The headphones are supposed to advertise some information, such as audio profiles, but they don't, and the laptop just boots them off, and they try to reconnect... rinse repeat. The same thing was happening with this controller. It was trying to connect, would be recognised by Steam, but nothing would work, and I'd find that the controller had lost connection and been kicked off a few seconds after it had connected. It seems that the controller has a bug, which M$ know about, because if you download the XBox firmware updater app when the controller's connected to a windows PC, the app immediately spots there's an issue and installs a later firmware. As soon as you try to connect the controller after the update, it works perfectly. But if, like me, you don't have a spare windows machine lying around, you'll need to beg/borrow/steal a Windows PC to load up the software to update the firmware. IT doesn't run under Wine / Oracle VMBox properly, sadly. Once the controller is patched and connected, it's great (for a controller). Don't get me wrong, I think using controllers is awful in the majority of games. Give me Kbd + Mouse any day for anything other than a simple racing game. But, for a controller, this one is pretty neat. The electric volt colour was my boy's idea. He really liked the green, so asked for that one. It does look nice, but slightly out of place with all his blue LEDs. Nice brushed finish to the texture, though. A pretty good controller, but they need to start shipping patched units!

Good controller at a decent price.
This is my third Xbox One controller. My first two were early models with the old style D-pad. They suffered from a broken trigger then a broken D-pad. Hopefully third time's a charm and this one lasts as long as my old Xbox 360 controllers did. I needed a controller fast but didn't want to go off brand. I wanted to stick with xbox so I went with this series x controller. I wanted a black one but for some reason this neon green controller was about 10 euros cheaper so I went with it. There are a few subtle differences for the old Xbox one controllers. First is the redesigned concave D-pad. This actually took me a minute to get used to as it actually does feel different from the traditional style D-pad. Secondly is the added 'share' button which I really like as it allows me to record video and take screenshots without using the keyboard. Thirdly is the textured grip on the triggers, bumpers and bottom of the controller. These are also a welcome addition and feel better than the smooth grips of the original controllers. The wireless features seem a bit more responsive as well. It seems like the controller connects to my computer much faster and remains connected with any signal drops. Overall I'm enjoying this controller and I'm glad I bought it.
