When my ferritin was less than 20%, then I would take two 27 mg capsules twice a day for a week, and then 1 capsule once a day. This always pulled it up, and without any GI upset. Don't forget to look at any low stomach acid issues as well. If your stomach acid is low (hypochlorhydria), then you can't absorb the iron from your foods properly. This would require taking Betaine Pepsin HCl supplements until stomach acid increases thereby increasing amount of iron absorbed. This can take months to resolve, but it will. Good sources of Betaine Pepsin HCl is Thorne or Pure Encapsulations.

I need to know is this product contains vitamin c, i have to supplement separately and am very sensitive to vitamin c. thank you.
