The transfer speed via USB 3.0 is really good; files copy quickly without any issues. Setup was very simple — just plug and play, no extra installation needed. Another plus is the quiet operation and sleek design. Considering the price, the build quality is very good. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a protective case, but that’s a minor issue. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable external hard drive.

If i could choose a minus number if stars, i would. I bought this drive on the back of the good reviews, so I formatted it and proceeded to transfer nearly 500G of video, pictures and 3d print files, basically everything I need safe and not clogging up my PC. I used it for 2 weeks before cleaning everything off my PC. Great, I'm running nice and fast again. Then randomly the next time I plug this in it wants me to format it, I now have no access to the 500g of files I absolutely need. It slowed my PC down considerably and I now stand to lose everything on it if I format it. Trust this POS at your own risk. I've lost everything I need. I've done everything I know to retrieve my files back. Of course if I format it again, everything is gone. Nothing I can do about it either, the damage is already done. Stick with the better brands like Toshiba etc.
