KA-BAR 9926 Sharpener

Stout, simple, well made tool. Small, but easily held on a flat surface with one hand. Put a super edge on my Ontario Survival Knife with only a few strokes. Works on a heavier, thicker knife due to the angles of the carbides. This is not for kitchen knives or nor chefs knives. This is a cheaper alternative to expensive sharpeners. Time will tell if it lasts a long time.

Awesome sharpener works great

It might seem simple but as a novice knife sharpener, I could not figure out how to use this thing. I thought I had to do one side at a time or something, but after playing around with it for 10 min or so I realized I was supposed to bring the knife toward myself, sliding it directly down the center. after about 30 or 40 passes my extremely dull knife is a tape slicing machine. no package will ever stand in my way again. Ka-Bar once again brings quality to the table at a very affordable price point, well done!

handle makes for easy sharpening

Easy to slip in a pouch for field sharpening. Most kits are bulky, even though good. When you need to restore a blade in the outdoors, this is the ticket. Compact, light weight, easy to use. Looks like the sharpening "V" can be replaced if it wears. A dull knife is of little use. A minute with this will make a real difference.

I have had a number of these pull through sharpeners never had a k-bar until now some of my harder Steel knives stainless Etc have always been difficult to sharpen this is a game changer I don't know if the carbide Cutters in this are of a higher quality and then what you can buy at Walmart or anywhere else but you can take your hardest knife and it will cut a new Edge of fresh edge of sharp edge on just about anything I've tried to sharpen highly recommended extremely good product

Honestly for a cheap carbide knife sharpener it works great. Owning several kabar knives i bought it being a brand whore but it does a great job on super high carbon blades as well. I highly recommend it if u can get it for less than 20 bucks.

Good field sharpener. Good heft and size. My only "complaint" is that there is no lanyard hole. So I made one. I put lanyards on almost all of my outdoor tools. I used a bright orange Paracord for this one so it's easier to identify if it gets laid aside somewhere.

Works perfectly for kabar knifes haven’t tried any others. It leave metal shards so you know it’s working
