Fits tablets, but not if they're in a case.
I purchased this tablet pillow after reading the mostly glowing reviews. I chose this one over a similar product because it has a zippered pocket to hold earbuds, tablet (without a case) and perhaps a stylus or other small needed item. The idea that you can zipper your tablet, earbuds, stylus and lip gloss into the pocket which is lined with soft fabric and then carry the whole shebang by the pillow's built-in handle appealed to me. Upon receiving the LapPro pillow, I found that it was made of a slick-surface polyester fabric which slides around on surfaces and is the kind of fabric that will develop snags or pulls easily. A cotton-type fabric would be preferable, and would have added to the stability factor. The pillow does what it is made for...it props up your Kindle or small tablet for better viewing. You need to kinda mold the pillow innards to make it stay where you want it, then it's pretty stable. If the zippered pocket were just an inch or two deeper/larger, it would hold my Samsung Galaxy tablet in its protective case. It does hold my smaller Kindle, case and all. Overall, a decent item for a fair price. I would have ordered it in a neutral tan or brown color instead of bright blue, if it had been offered.

Techno-Friendly Pillow
Tired of balancing your iPad, eReader device or heavy book on your lap? Lap Pro can help in a very simple way. This comfy looking pillow is great for working or reading in your lap in many places such as your favorite chair, the couch or in bed. It works by resting the edge of your device or book in a soft groove in the front. It is not stuck in there and it can be easily adjusted while you work. Under the groove is a pocket for cords or pens/paper and ther is a handle for easily carrying the Lap Pro out onto your porch to read or work outdoors. I own two eReading devices, two iPads and many heavy technology and genealogy books and all settle in nicely to work with. Customer service is great and they answered any questions I had about the product. A smaller Lap Pro is under development for the smaller devices that are commonly in use. I most likely will biy one of those for my iPad mini. My iPad mini is a little lost in the pillow as I expected, but I have put in in a case and it balances better in the soft groove. When the smaller Lap Pro is ready, I will be able to use it in cramped quarters at a conference or in a hotel room for working. Midge Frazel, M. Ed professsional writer and genealogist

Really cool, versatile iPad lap cushion
At first I avoided using this lap-thing because it had a strong chemical odor to it. I considered returning it, but I like that it's taller and more maneuverable than the other cushioned iPad lap stand I've got. After letting it air out for a week outside, there is no discernable odor anymore (and I'm quite sensitive). I've come to love this stand and now use it daily. As mentioned in other reviews, it's true that the bottom of the iPad gets covered by the 'handle' of the cushion, when it's set up as shown in the photo -- but you can also lay it across the top of the cushion and hold it on your lap that way very easily, so the whole screen is visible and easily worked with. I'm impressed that it manages to feel pretty sturdy, and I've not had a problem with my iPad slipping off (but I do have an attached screen cover on my iPad, which further stabilizes the whole set up a little bit). Also, it works well resting on my torso when I'm reclined in bed. Or if I'm sitting cross-legged on the bed, the screen is a good height right in front of me resting on top of the stand like it's a pillow. In any orientation, it's much better for my needs than the geometric foam cushion stand also found on Amazon (whose aesthetics I prefer, honestly, but this one is the one everyone reaches for day-in, day-out). Anyway, when shopping around for a stand, I thought I'd probably hate this one because it looks pretty bulky like an unwieldy beanbag, and I wanted something streamlined. But it's not awkward to use and it's really light, with super tiny beads of what feels like styrofoam making up its bulk (there's a zipper, but I haven't unzipped to check). It isn't a loose beanbag -- it's more formed than I expected. I also didn't love the fabric at first (swimsuit-ish material), except that it notes on the tag that you can wipe your screen with it, in a pinch. Pretty handy. Lastly, it's not hot, either, and I don't feel the heat of the iPad through it at all. Actually, I'm using this stand right now with a MacBook Pro that runs pretty hot, and I feel no heat at all on my legs/lap. Both computers fit well, too. So, essentially, this stand works great for laptops as well as iPads. Docked one star for the initial odor issue, since I think they could have off-gassed the materials first, prior to manufacturing/sale, but smart design and versatility earn this iPad cushion full marks otherwise! Happy I gave it a shot. EDITED TO ADD (a year later): Renegade Concepts stands behind their products should there be issues, which is awesome, and they couldn't be more pleasant to interact with. We continue to love the LapPro and prefer it to all other stands in the house.

Very lightweight tablet holder.
This is a very lightweight pillow-like tablet holder. It is very different than what you think it is by picture. I thought it was like one big bean bag type thing that tablet sits in. The tablet sits in a pocket, sort of, with a padded bar in front of it to hold tablet in place. My fire hd10 with a case on it fits in this perfectly. But the whole thing needs something heavier on the bottom possibly to make it feel more stable. Maybe some bean bag type matterials, just in the bottom, would anchor the lightweight tablet stand? I think I will keep it. Just need to get used to it. It has two pockets on bottom so you can store stuff in there like screen wipes, etc. Individual pockets don't close up even though they are separate from each other, otherwise some beans would be a good thing to put in there to anchor it. Even though each pocket Is separate they are not separate from each other with a zipper. Just one zipper. Very flimsy material holds tablet in place between pillow and bar. I worry that that material will eventually come loose or tear. Just need to get used to it. Not very many tablet stands that hold a fire hd10 with a case on it. Once tablet is in place and i gently shake it, back and forth or side to side, it seems to stay in place. So that's good. Only time will tell if this was worth the money or not.

Almost TOO simple!
It's such a simple idea it takes some time to realize it's so much better than just a pillow. I've been telling/showing this to all my friends. The carrying handle works as a base to keep your ebook/tablet from sliding,. You can open the zipper to push extra filling into the flap. It doesn't look like an ebook when in the case. You can put a few extra items in the zipper area. The bag also acts as a nice pillow. The fabric can be used to clean your ebook. One really super tiny, niggling problem. After a week of carrying around with me all over the place, the seam between the handle and the strap started to loosen. The filling is millimeter-sized balls so they started to pop out. I have fixed it (I hope) by a judicious use of super glue. (I was afraid that sewing it might open more holes, plus I'm lazy.) This is the only area where the seams come under stress, and I did do some pulling while adjusting, and I can be rough on things, so it's not shoddy workmanship. The only reason I write something is because of the one bad review, to let people know how to fix it if it happens. If you leave yours in one place or don't walk about with it, you probably won't have this problem. Renegade Concepts got in touch with me immediately after I left this note and was more than kind and helpful. Please don't let this one microscopic (almost literally) problem stop you from buying this product.

Perfect For STEAMDECK
I purchased this lap pillow specifically for my Steamdeck OLED and it is a gamechanger! One of the best accessories I have purchased for my deck. The deck length fits with enough room to rest my (small) hands and wrists on the sides of the pillow while I'm playing. This pillow almost single-handedly took care of the wrist fatigue and soreness that comes with the bulk and weight of playing the deck. The zippered compartment is a great touch. I keep a stylus and an aux cord stashed inside. There's enough room to stash a power brick/cord and earbuds if needed. My husband was so impressed after seeing mine that he wanted a lap pillow for his deck as well. So I purchased another and he loves his as much as I do. We couldn't be happier with our Lap Pro Pillows. Now we game in comfort.

loooove...
Ok between my tablets and kindle laying down reading...is a pain. You get tired of trying to prop things up only to have everything fall down. The lap pro makes reading easier. Definitely cheaper than other brands. Based on cost and Amazon reviews....I purchased lap pro..I can't really add anymore to what has already been said. Except to reiterate yes a little stiff...wish was a little less full. Would make it easier to adjust to different angles. Based on a previous reviewer it seems after using for awhile the balls inside become less compact. I was a little disappointed by the " bar" strap or what have you that holds your book, tablet etc.. I do think that should be made maybe a bit thinner and maybe a smidge looser. Bottom line.....perfect holiday gift for your avid reader or tablet user.. price excellent..love the color.. You won't regret this purchase. In fact I think I may purchase one for my Mother. She broke her wrist and I think this would be helpful for her so she doesn't have to hold her kindle.. By the way....very very light weight.

tried to like it...
Lost my belkin viewlounge so decided to try something new. It was much more pillow then bean bag stand then I thought it would be. I found I was constantly fidgeting with it to get the angle I wanted at the time. It does close to 90 degree tilts really well but in going the other direction, alls you were really doing was putting the ipad on a pillow, it took a bit of fidgeting to get the angle. I found the bottom lip it's supposed to sit in to be too deep. If you insert it in to the lip(which is just the handle folded over), it covers the bottom of the ipad screen which depending on the app you are using, could get annoying. you could not tuck the ipad all the way in to avoid that but it really wasn't that stable then(moving around in a bed will typically slip it off the stand/pillow. Reviews were great for it, liked the story behind the design and company in general so I try to like items like this but at the end of the day, it just felt more like a pillow with a lip at the bottom to quasi hold it up then a bonafide stand that would be ideal for use in bed. I think had that bottom lip/handle been tighter, not as much give, it would have been much more functional for me. the ipad doesn't sit snug in the lip and the lip/bag handle is much too big for it needs to be and ends up covering the ipad screen which really bugged me. Part of getting a stand designed for use in bed or the couch is to avoid all the fidgeting you would do when trying to prop it up on a pillow but with this, I found myself still doing that very same thing. I'll play with it some more and i'll change my opinion here if it changes but for now, it just did not work easily enuf, stable enuf of functional enuf for it to be the answer to what I was looking for.

It’s jjjusssst ggrreeaat!
I bought this little pillow for my teenage granddaughter who is always in her room on her computer, iPhone, or artist tablet. She has found it a lot easier on her neck and she doesn’t get so tired so quickly. She has almost convinced me to get one for myself too.

Useful and seems to work. Super light weight!
So far so good after giving to my wife. She seems to like it and uses it constantly. However do I think the price is worth it after feeling how light it is... that’s pending. I’ll see it it holds up to regular use and let you know.
