A handy item to have for all kinds of lighting needs - Just handle w care...
These sockets were just what I needed. I teach stagecraft and build 2 to 4 shows a year at LBHS. I'm always looking for things to get the job done and stay under or on budget. We needed to light all the book shelves that we built for "Godspell" (the play is set in a school library) and these were perfect! Yes, they are plastic, Yes, they can break them if you screw them down to tight, Yes you can break them if you screw the bulbs in to tight. so don't do any of the above mentioned things and they will work perfect! I used 20 of these and they performed flawlessly for us, never had a failure and always "on cue." I had no issues with all 20 units, now you might need to tighten the lugs a bit with a small screwdriver after you install the wire but this is normal for a light housing constructed like this, I use all kinds of power sockets in our productions, there is nothing that I have not seen. These do have an open bottom so if your hanging, you just need to hot glue a cardboard bottom to cover the exposed wire. (I always seal the connection of the wire at the socket with some liquid electrical tape first before putting a faux bottom on if I'm suspending the sockets..) I did use all LED - dimmable bulbs from Home Depot, They had a great sale on close-out bulbs and they worked great! Just make sure you get the wire polarity correct or you'll get some flicker. I have attached some photos of the install. These were a Prime item too and had a GREAT price and the quantity I needed and had it in-stock, I got them in 2 days! So handle w care and they will take care of you!

Simple, cheap, easily customizable.
Bought these based on low price and limited availability of alternative similar products. I use the to replace the fixture in the halogen work light stands. The halogen bulbs burn out quickly and any jarring they quit working. I fit these bases into the work light stands and use standard led lights screwed into them. These are simple, cheap, and easy to use. Also the plastic base allows you to customize them to fit the application.

They work and are a great price.
I bought these for a lighting canopy project. The bases are smaller than the normal ones that fit the drywall boxes. These are good for surface mount projects. They do work well. Even though I am going to state the not so great parts of these, they were great for my project. Now for the not so great parts. The wire connections are a slide through and screw down. If you have 18-22 gauge wire it is tolerable. This also means that if you connect them in series both wires cannot fit through the connector…requires joining wires before or after the connection. Do not screw the bulbs in super tight or the metal in the socket will snap and come out when you unscrew the bulb. They also do not come with screws.

Work great!
I used these to make a light for my shop. Good quality for the price.

CHEAP!!!!!!!
Installing lighting in a pre-built metal building. decided to use these and the led fan lights due to budget. these sockets are cheap, cheap, cheap. cheap price. cheap made. cheap quality. trust me spend a few extra bucks and save your self the trouble. - plastic is flimsy, like hand screw to mount flimsy. - the screws/tabs that hold the wire just free spin when tightening and are tiny tiny and easy to strip -the metal socket is paper thin and only held in by 1 screw (broke 3 sockets barely tightening bulbs in) -the screws, once the wire is in place and tightened, makes the screws almost flush with the bottom of the plastic housing, i just hope that the electrical tape i used is enough of an insulator to prevent issues. i will say if these were being mounted to wood i would feel alot better. -once i had them all installed and finished i decided to go back and put a band of electrical tape around the bulbs because i feel like the slightest vibration to the building is going to cause these to fail and drop the 15 dollar led bulbs on the ground without it. bottom line - buy something else. i will eventually pay the price for being cheap on these when i have to go back and do double the labor to replace.

Easy, Cheap and Work Fine.
This is a good product, but not a great one. I would absolutely recommend them with a couple of caveats: The bases are a little flimsy i.e. you can easily crack them when driving in screws. But if you're careful, that's not much of an issue. Second, the tiny hardware was either loose or had fallen out into the bag from at least a few of the fixtures during the shipping. This is not a major issue again, but you will want to tighten all of the hardware (front and back) and replace the screws that have fallen out before you toss the bag. Since the screws are tiny, it would be hard to find replacements for them, so be careful! Finally, if you are doing a large project (50+ fixtures), even though they are on Prime, I would order them in advance, as they ran out of them twice during my ordering process, and so I had to purchase more expensive substitutes. Again, as I said overall, they are a really good product. They work well, they are easily mountable, and I out of 60, I didn't have a single one fail.

Cheapest solution
This thing fits E26 very well for me. It's the cheapest on market for now and they work as they should. The thing is small. I don't recommend to use with bulbs that consume more than 100W as the contact point is kind of weak.

Great value!!! I don’t get the bad reviews.
I use it to make this vanity table and as you can see they worked amazing !!!! I was worry about a few bad reviews but for the prices they are great. Obviously just be a little careful installing them and screwing the bulb but to break it you have to be very clumsy!!!

Honesty in representing products
This had misleading photo in Amazon. I thought I was getting smaller ones. I was surprised to find them so big. I have no use for this. I wasted my money.
