Is the soap cutter durable? I need one that holds the soap in place while cutting.

I have a classic Pampered Chef crinkle cutter that is a way heavier gauge metal than this one. This one is light enough it bends. I don’t have any trouble cutting inside the loaf but it wants to bow out on the ends of the loaf and I can never get a straight, but always slanted cut that only goes halfway down before it slips off.

How many pounds of soap are needed to fill the loaf mold?

bought as a gift for my daughter . what you can do is fill to a level with water and get an idea as to what the complete quantity would be needed . I do this with all my newly purchased silicone molds as a format . I think you should get 8 - 10 4 oz or make larger as needed. approximately 2 + lbs

What gauge of shrink wrap film does this come with?

I didn’t get shrink wrap. It came with what the pic shows, a roll of plastic wrap (think Saran or Reynolds Wrap) and it hardly even sticks to itself, which is why there are stickers to hold the plastic wrap shut.

Lovely little set, both blades are large, sturdy and cut well. Made a batch of soap using the soap mold, worked out well, demolded well. Pleased with this set although I think the price could be cheaper.
