This is great. It is a great price and instead of just giving the error code, it gives the actual problem. It's very easy to use, diagnose, and operate.

Easy to use and read. Not the best on a Mercedes Benz diesel.

The ANCEL AD310 does exactly what a basic OBD2 scanner is supposed to do: read and clear engine fault codes on 1996+ vehicles. It powers directly from the OBD port, requires no batteries, and is simple to navigate. For checking a check-engine light, pulling a code, and clearing it after a repair, it performs reliably and consistently. That said, it’s strictly entry-level. It does not offer advanced diagnostics, live data depth, ABS/SRS access, or manufacturer-specific modules. The screen is basic, and the cable length is adequate but not generous. If you just need a no-frills tool to confirm a code before deciding on repairs, it’s fine. If you expect deeper diagnostic capability, you’ll outgrow it quickly.

If I was rating this based off of amazons capability of delivering it, I’d have given it one star and wishing for less . Amazon is awful in that regards, so please check one star reviews in case of that. As far as this as a product. 10/10 it does what I wanted it for. A general diagnostic reader I can keep in the car for myself or others to get an idea of what an issue could be. Cheap enough to not worry about it breaking or going missing but still got the job done. It worked on my 01 Honda civic and it worked for my 2000 jeep Cherokee. Saves me from having to go to the auto store to use theirs. So far no issues or complaints. Will update if opinion changes

Perfect scan tool/code reader. Price is better than most especially for the quality and ease of use. We have x5 vehicles and have purchased one for each car and the 3 trucks. Nice to have in the vehicle when/if needed. Easy resets get home or to the repair shop and easy to check after repairs are made that the problem/s are corrected and no longer an issue. Have tried other brands but this is perfect for everyone, with or without mechanical experience. Plug and play device.

I replaced my older OBD2 unit with this new one. I love the small size. Very user friendly too. I prefer this type that has menu selections on the screen with minimal buttons. My other one, I had to have instructions every time I used it. I used this new one to check a code and it performed nicely. Also cleared the code.
