It is not synthetic. It is a professional instrument. Probably it is the skin from calfs.

Is there a drum that is pre-tuned that doesn't need to be tuned again? I really want a drum, but don't want to tune it.

Such a magical sounding drum!

I just received this wonderful drum! The words “fast delivery” would be an understatement . You could say it teleported here! The feeling of playing the first pattern on this daf and drawing the tone out is just pure fun and charm. This a professional instrument has an incredible feel! Hapadrums this instrument is a work of art !

Good instrument, came defective

Instrument is good and synthetic skin looks great and sounds pretty good. Frame looks a bit on the not too good side. It came with a couple of defects on the frame due to tunning sistem.. contacted them outside of platform... wouldnt say they have a grate costumer service....
