Why is this fan 163.90 here and only $99.00 at Lowes?

Lowes buys thousands of these through their importer, LG sourcing, and they all come from China or somewhere across the pond. They typically offer lower pricing and deals like this to get you in the store, and they count on you purchasing other products while you are there. Their margins are razor thin at $99 but they will make it up on other things. Amazon sellers cannot count on that, and we typically have to pay more to ship the product than what we get back from Amazon for shipping, so we are always underwater on shipping large items like ceiling fans right off the bat. I recently paid about $35 to ship a ceiling fan down to Florida, but only got $20 back from Amazon for the shipping.

Can you hang it in a soft top gazebo or is it too heavy?

I had a 10 by 12 soft gazebo that I hung mine in. It is a heavy fan!
