Worth every penny!
This outdoor railing proves the tenet “ You get what you pay for”! Though it was significantly more expensive, it was obvious to me from the photos and product description online that this was a quality piece. It was made in the US, and was solid, well-designed, and easy to assemble, with thorough and accurate instructions. It was easy to anchor to the bottom step of four composite deck steps and the deck surface. It is very secure and will be a secure aid for visitors to our deck/patio! (I suspect anchoring to concrete might be a more difficult install, but the instructions are clear and well-illustrated. I couldn’t be happier after installing the railing!

Well-built and all the bits needed to install.
Think 4.5 stars. I dock it one star for not including installation or assembly instructions. I am DIY savvy, so that wasn't a major issue for me. For others less comfortable just figuring things out, then it could be an issue. I definitely award 5 stars for all the parts and pieces. They included all the bolts and screws for installing on both wood and concrete stairs. Plus they included drill bits and even a bit extender. That was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Overall, well-made.

Great Product!
I wish I could give these railings a 6 rating! I read several negative reviews about this railing but it looked like what I could use on an unusual porch entry step. At almost 84 years old, I still tackle home projects and this one looked being possible for me so I ordered a pair and they arrived the second day via Amazon. Upon opening the boxes, everything seemed to be in great shape so I got what I needed and in about 3 houes, my son in law and I had them both installed. Very sturdy- you can't shake them. I will say you cannot do drilling in concete, like I had to do, without a hammer drill- forget it with a regular drill! Also, you have to have compressed air to blow the holes after you drill so the wedge anchors will have room to fit in the holes. The provided pencil depth gauge was handy. I bought a 3/8" carbide hammer drill bit. and while I was at it, I bought 3/8 X 3 inch sleee anchors, although I am sure the ones in the kit would have worked so I saved them for later use. To those who gave bad reviews about the top railing being blue colored, they obviously didn't realize that is the coloe of the shrik-wrapped plastic covering---it's black when you remove the plastic. The ones who complained about the middle railing being too short--they had the top post in the bottom position. The instruction booklet provided strp-by step instructions and I don't see how anyone with minimal mechanical ability couldn't do this installation.

Sturdy and looks good
It is sturdy and looks good. You need two people to position the support poles to mark the holes for drilling and for installing. Good instructions. The drill bit is not SDS which was needed for hammer drill. Says SDS drill bit avail on request in instructions. Wish they had included that with parts. Leveler tool was not in kit but we had one.

Well thought out, highly adjustable and stable on nearly any substrate
Everything was included - even the steel and masonry bits. Well packaged and well protected for shipping. Enough parts were included to do full wood or a full cement/concrete installation - ours ended up with concrete on the bottom and wood/resin on the top. If you do a concrete or cement installation, be sure to use a hammer drill - a regular drill just will not do for the depth that is needed. Other than a drill, the only other tools recommended are a hammer and a good rachet set (1/2" socket). The included pencil was cool as it has a "depth" indicator you can use for making sure your concrete holes are deep engouth - but not too deep. While I can't yet speak about long term weathering, it did install very well. The instructions were well written. Pay attention to the which post is bottom and top - and which way to install the brackets. And don't forget to put on the base protectors BEFORE any other mounting, including the brackets. I'd probably recommend a periodic follow-up coat of black paint / rust preventative wherever drilling or other damage to the powder coating might have occurred. Another tip is to use the directions "pamphlet" (it's about the size of a book of coupons) to slip against the rails as you tighten the bolts to avoid scratching the paint. Overall - very satisfied.

Very nice rail
This kit has everything you need except the hammer drill and an impact to drive self tappers. I had no issue drilling the eight holes needed to mount the post on concrete. I used masking tape to hold the handrail together while I dry fitted the post and rails so that I could mark my first four holes. The included pencil is marked so you can accurately set the proper depth. I have a depth stop on my drill so I used the pencil to set it. When drilling your holes it is crucial to blow them out or you will not get your anchors set to the desired depth. I used my compressor but a can of air should work, be sure to wear a mask. I carefully reamed the holes out as not to bend or break the drill bit and then dropped some dish soap down the holes so the anchors would slide easier. Tap the anchors into place until they are at the proper depth, be patient and don’t beat them in or you will bend the anchor. Use a torpedo level to check the post, my concrete was not perfectly flat. I was able to true the post by carefully tightening the nuts from side to side, as needed. Keep in mind that a 12 volt impact can break off an anchor if over tightened, better to use a ratchet when in doubt. Once you have the first post in, it is just a matter of making sure your rails are completely seated before marking and drilling the next four. Note: Make sure your post are where they belong, there is a top and bottom. The people claiming the bottom rail was to short had the post backwards, there are directions. Be sure to read the notes included with the diagrams and you will be o.k. Take your time! This took me nearly two hours from tool prep to clean up, I could probably do it in an hour now that I have installed one. I am a 64 year old male for those who may be wondering. This is a nice looking handrail.

Great railings! Solid and somewhat easy to install. Fantastic customer service!
I don't have much experience with construction or renovations, but you will need an angle grinder, cut off tool or die grinder to cut the metal bars. They are thin though, so it's not too difficult and most tools should succeed. They offer you screws for wood and plastic and anchors for cement/masonry. You will need a hammer drill to drill into cement. To note, is that the anchors are permenant so if you want, you can buy tapcons and washers to make the railing installation not permanent. We had an issue during the installation where it looked like one of the legs were cut short, but after we called customer service they assisted us very quickly. Super impressed! The wrought iron is good quality and well packaged, but there was some rust inside. I tried to file it down and spray paint it but time will tell how long it will last. I figure at least 5-7years. Overall a very good railing system for the price. Looks fantastic and is solid! and easy to accomplish if you don't have alot of experience. I recommend this product!

Wow great product!
Very sturdy , good looking, nice quality, incredible supply of every imaginable tool to do it yourself. Instructions and videos are great. Only flimsy parts are the plastic caps at bottom of posts, but not a big deal. Thank you, would highly recommend. John

No hesitation in recommending this product.
The installation instructions, guides and fixings which are all included are the best I have ever experienced. The product itself now it's fitted, feels good quality and sturdy. Therefore from an average DIYer I'd have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Superb Company and Excellent Product
This company was great to deal with ~ the first order didn’t work ~ the customer service folks contacted us and had us submit measurements and photos. Turned out the issue was the “pitch” of the stairs. They worked with their engineers and recalculated the installation. In the end we followed their recommendations and the installation was perfect! Don’t hesitate to engage their customer support ~ superb company! Highly recommend!
