Excellent option, love extra hdd/sdd bay
Love to have 2 usb 3 ports but locating the ports at the two opposite edges of the bay is quite awkward and the cable tends to get tangled with other cables. It is preferable to have the two ports at the same location at one of the edges. Build quality is good but screw holes are a bit out of the standard length so I had to modify them to make the brackets (that came with the chasis) fit. Overall, good quality and serves the purpose, the extra space for a disk is a plus.

I'm happy with it
I was looking for a USB 3.0 face plate that could also hold a drive or two. The bracket is the right kind of plastic (if there is such a thing). It is the thick slightly flexible plastic rather than the thin easily breakable plastic. The two USB's work. The USB ports do not orient in the same direction to each other. So inserting a cable or thumb drive in one side is one way, and in the other is the exact opposite way; maybe this is the standard? Not an issue for me, just something to note for anyone thinking about purchasing this one. Pros: Works fine with my large tower case that has the quick lock drive sliders. I did not need to use the included screws Contains eight or ten course screws, so plenty of screws for mounting this unit and a 3.5" HDD if going that route Holds two SSD drives with some modification Proper mounting holes to mount a 3.5" HDD screwing from the side, or the bottom Two USB 3.0 ports Cons: Two SSD drives can be mounted if you make modifications or strap them together USB ports mirror each other. They do not orient the same way, so inserting something in one is 180 degrees opposite to the other

WAY OVERPRICED
Only real attractive feature is layout that allows insertion of 2.5" hot swap bays that are also flanked by USB 3-3.2 ports on each side. For us, that provides 4 USB 3.2 outputs at top front of PC, as most customers would appreciate. Construction is plastic so mounting screws go into unthreaded plastic holes. Careful when installing your 2.5 bay into sled. Cables are too short. Adapter for USB A male should be part of this kit so users can pull USB 3.2 off the back of their PCs and port to front. About $4 worth of kit for close to $16 in price but OEM knows it's about the only game in town for this specific application.

Great product.
Fit into the 5.25 inch drive bay on my PC perfectly and is working very very well.

It is what it is
Fairly good bay adapter. It's a fairly thick sturdy plastic. Only issues I encounter were that some of the mounting holes were a bit off so I had to mod them a little to get them to line up with my 3.5 inch front input device but it was as easy as a few turns with the awl on a Swiss Army Knife. The USB cord length is long enough for use in my old mid-size tower. Wish it was metal instead of plastic, but all in all I'm happy with it for the price.

Front USB 3.0 ports AND a place to park your hard drive, what's not to like?
Amazon review-combining-proofing: Vantec USB 3.0 Front Panel with 5.25" HDD/SSD Bracket (HDA-502H) (I'll stop doing this when Amazon stops combining reviews for unrelated products) I bought 2 of these; one for my PC, and one for my son's PC. Installation was easy enough. My son's case has quick release bays, and the bracket slid in easily. My case doesn't have quick release, and the fit was really tight (but also really secure, even without screws). On both PCs, I mounted HDDs on the trays, and they fit perfectly. The attached cable is more than long enough to reach to a motherboard USB 3.0 port, and should be long enough to reach to a PCI card. The USB ports work as they should. All in all, we're both satisfied.

Great Front Panel Design Option - Good Future Proofing As Well
Rather than have several little hard drive bays cluttering up my case, I took them all out for airflow purposes, but wanted a little spot for a SSD for games. This did the trick for my scenario, but I will explain one other really nice feature about it for future hardware changes. Since it already doubles as a hard drive bay (awesome), the best part about the USB 3.0 cables is they are "snapped" into the sides of the panel as is, as opposed to most panels I've seen where it's just the USB inputs pretty much embedded into a chipset thing on the front. So, if one eventually wanted to swap the USB 3.0 cables to something else down the road (USB 3.1, Type C, or whatever the heck comes out next), they should just be able to pop them out and put the new cables in (while obviously just having to connect the newer cables afterward like before). Also, my case has the type of drive bays with a tool-less design, and it just snapped right in. Works great.

I never used my dvd rom anymore and just bought a 4 gig HDD for recording purposes with no space to install it and this was my perfect solution. I wasn't using my USB 3.0 plug on my motherboard either so it was win-win. The cable is nice and long so you should be able to route it well unless you have a very large case. It also came with more than enough screws. The one downside I would say is that the USB connector cable is blue. I would have preferred black to fit in better with most cases/cables.

Parfait. Propre et clean de devant. Les 2 port usb peuvent être enlever si vous en avez besoin. parcontre les trous ne serons pas boucher mais çca fait trèes propre. j'en ai acheter 3 et c'est parfait prix bas. Perfect good quality. the 2 usb port can be remove. but is realy clean on front. That replace a burner. i recommand

Only complaint is that it doesn't come with mounting screws
