King Innovations Blazing BVS-2 Snap Lock Low Voltage Wire Connectors, Bag of 20

Purchased these to install walkway low voltage lighting. They made the job very easy. The snap connector and internal gel make the job one I won’t have to worry about the wire connection getting affected by water or coming apart. Great device.

I had 4 of these where I couldn't get the 18 Guage wire in the smaller hole, I read someone saying they had to drill them out bigger. These are expensive connectors, they work but to have a 10% fail rate is too high. I would only use these on fixtures in the soil otherwise the blue dialectic grease wire nuts with tape is a solid back up

Overall these work great although after installing about 30 low voltage landscape lights I have noticed that about 1 in 15 or 20 do not easily accept wires into the designated wire holes and thus become unusable. I think it could be an alignment issue but the key seems to be to have the stripped section of wire that you are going to insert twisted very tightly and straight before inserting in the large or small hole (depending on which wires you are connecting). I have been able to 'reuse' a few of them when moving or replacing lights as I adjust my overall landscape lighting setup but it's probably not recommended and requires you to release the wire, clip it, restrip, twist tightly and reinsert before snap-fastening. They can be unsnapped with a regular screwdriver. I have not found a better solution however for temporary wire connections I have been using medium sized King Innovation Dryconn wire connectors for inline or end-of-line connections.

The King Innovations Blazing BVS-2 Snap Lock connectors work really well overall. They’re easy to use, hold securely, and make low-voltage wiring quick and clean. I bought the 20-pack and most of them performed exactly as expected. The only downside was that 5 out of the 20 connectors had misaligned holes, which made it difficult (or impossible) to insert the smaller-gauge wire properly. Not a deal-breaker, but definitely a quality-control issue worth noting. Overall, when they work, they work great — just be aware you may run into a few defective pieces in the batch.

Easy to install and it works as advertised

They work great. The smallest hole in some of the connectors needed a little reeming with a small object like a very small drill bit so the wire would go in as it should but an easy thing to do. All of the big holes functioned as they should.

Product is great when it works. Similar to some other reviews, approximately 10% of the ones I ordered (I bought 60 of them) had quality control problems. Most of the problems were related to the hole for the small wire not being aligned properly, thus not allowing the wire to be inserted. I also had a couple of instances where the yellow clip handle broke off when I tried to close them. Having said all of that, I would purchase them again in ah heart beat. I was able to install 26 low voltage landscape lights in a little over an hour, and I feel confident in the integrity of the connections long term.

Works like a charm! Very ingenious product. Makes low voltage light instillation so much easier. Very happy with this purchase!!
