Just bought this and looks fab but only toasts 3/4 of the bread. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks

I have sent mine back as it only toasted 2/3 of the bread and the other third wasn't even lightly toasted, it was just bread. This was with a short Kingsmill slice. I didn't try it on it's side as I brought it to be a 4 slice toaster.

Will this toast four UK sized slices of bread fully in one go, and is it wide enough to do crumpets?

Like seemingly at least 90% of toasters made, this won't toast a regular standard bread slice. There's a good 1-2cm sticking out of the top and a bit below that doesn't get toasted well either. You could turn the bread on it's side, but then it's not a 4-slice toaster.

The dimensions "‎19d x 38.5w x 19.5h cm" don't make sense ? the cross section should look almost square ( 19 x 19.5 )

I measured my toaster this morning. It looks rectangular to me these are the measurements I took from my toaster. Length. - 36cm Height. - 19cm Width. - 17cm The edges of the toaster are bevelled which may make a difference to its appearance. Hope this helps.
