Fresh step is just what it says. Fresh. The smell to this litter is refreshing. It clumps well. As well as tracking I guess it depends on your cat but fot the most part I do see less on the floor. Great quality cat litter. However, I do wish that this particular brand can in those extra large bags. I'm getting value for the price I paid and that's great

Only negative was price. FreshStep OdorShield does a great job controlling litter box smells and keeping the area fresh for days. It clumps well, making cleanup quick and easy, and the scent is not overpowering. Dust can be noticeable at times, but overall it’s a reliable choice for cat owners looking for strong odor protection. Not too heavy either.

One of my favorite litters. It really keeps the odor down. My senior cat has some stinky poo sometimes. It lasts a long time too and it really is low dust. I don't get a cloud in my face when scooping. The clumps stay clumped even when I drop them. Not a lot of litter outside the box. One of the best value litters.

My go to litter now. I’ve tried other brands but I keep coming back to this one for it, simplicity and pricing. Good clumping capabilities and makes for an easy clean up. The only downfall is that it does get pretty dusty

We have previously used this litter and always found it to be great. Temporarily switched to a different brand and noticed it smelled horrible, and our cat started using the bathroom where she wasn't supposed to. So we switched back to Fresh Step and there hasn't been anymore accidents. So lesson learned, we will only be using this litter from now on. I will say, since switching back to Fresh Step, the smell has went away so it has been great for odor control even with it being unscented. Clumping is definitely better than other brands, with other brands there was always muddy litter at the bottom of the litter pan, now there isn't. I would definitely recommend this litter for anyone looking for a good quality litter that clumps well, and has very low/no odor.

I have used this cat litter for many years and it is the only one that I have found to work with multiple cats. The way I use the litter I start with a clean pan and fill it up a few inches deep. As the days go by, I scoop the litter as needed and after scooping a a thin fresh layer to the top to give it a fresh boost. I do this for about 4 weeks before completely dumping the entire litter box and start over. It clumps well and is easy to scoop. The texture is fine and for the most part does not track outside of the litter box (of course each cat is different exiting the litter box). The cat odor is well managed. I will continue to buy this litter as I have tried others and they do not compare to the way this litter masks the odor.

I have tried another clumping litter (A&H Premium etc) which was very good, but although I initially liked it - and it didn't smell of urine etc it had a heavy/unpleasant odour on its own. So after a few months, I tried this Fresh Step with Fabreze and while my 6 mo. old kitten hesitated and sniffed at it she has readily accepted it, Two weeks and it still smells fresh (I clean it at least twice daily) . It isn't quite as heavy as the A&H, so on one of her litter boxes a few grains come out with her (the second litter box has a higher grate that catches virtually all of any granules on her paws. I really like this one and have re-ordered it. I am pleased to have found this particular brand. It's pricey - but smells great and works as it should. I definitely recommend this choice!!!

Decent smell Clumps together in easy to scoop clumps that are solid, no crumbly pieces that won't scoop out. The scent is nice light
